About the Author

Michael N. Woolley was born and raised in Utah. He found adventure in books and the imaginations of his older sister which he always enjoyed. He grew up in a "sandlot" style neighborhood; playing football, baseball, and basketball, and enjoying biking to the yogurt parlor and dollar theater on weekends.

At the age of twelve, Michael was introduced to J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, who quickly became his favorite authors. Discovering his own imagination, he quickly persuaded his gang to create their own adventures through amateur film.

After high school, Michael served an LDS mission to the Philippines where he began making small notes of ideas which would be the beginnings of his writing. When he returned from his mission he pursued his education at Brigham Young University Idaho where he majored in English Education, and minored in History. He now enjoys teaching the next generation to discover for themselves the love of reading, writing, imagination, and adventure.
