This title is straight policy from the Obama folks. It's informative and clearly outlines exactly what Barack would like to do once in office. This is the straight dope on his platform and ideas. If you are at all wondering if you should vote for Barack Obama this Novemeber, this book contains everything you should need to make an informed choice come election day. It may not be a real page turner, but it is focused, uncomplicated, and fluff free. In short, this is his plan for change.

What I love the most about this book is that it sheds light on the mind of Barack Obama. His other books were personal and not policy. This book is all policy and substance. I think anyone who doesn't know Barack Obama and wants to know him a little better should read this book. Turn off CNN, ABC, & Fox News and get to know the man and his policies in HIS OWN WORDS!

I, too, am excited to see a person like Barack Obama become president of our country, not because he is a 'black African-American' proving something for a segment of our nation, but as an intelligent, thoughtful American who has come forward to serve our nation, someone willing to listen and consider other perspectives with his own as he formulates and executes his plan of action. I applaud our President-elect in his consistent message to unify as a nation - we should all build the good will that he has laid as the foundation by refraining from any negative or 'siding' connotations. We are all part of the same family - the human family - and must respect one another by refraining from any talk that will divide us. God bless the United States (and people) of America!

This is obviously a political book from a presidential candidate but gives great detail on Obama vision...

Talking about change or really defining what it means. It takes guts to put down in words what you will actually do. Thanks for the plan, it works for me.

This book is full of vague generalities. there is nothing concrete in what he says. What he MEANS is, he wants to change this country from being a free, capitalist country, into the slavery of a socialist country. Make no mistake: socialism is SLAVERY. It's ironic that it will be a black man that will lead us all into slavery - including the blacks. And, all cheer him. One other thing, we've been on this road to socialism since the twenties. Bush gave us a good push, as well, but Barry, man he's gonna take us there. You'll see how destructive it all is well before his next term, but it will be too late to do anything about it.

You know this country will be divided as long as we 'African-Americans' continue to call ourselves that.

We need to be American first, African second or not at all.

With so many politicians trying to spin everything of what Obama says around and even resort to giving false facts this book is a breath of fresh air. This book comes from the Obama campaign itself and tells the TRUTH about his policies, now when some other politician tries to make something up people can go and grab a copy of this book and read the truth.

It has been a while since there has been a good president to lead the country. Throughout the book it looks as if this is about to change. Barack's book main topic was the economy. He plans to not only supply immediate relief by creating jobs and giving tax cuts, but also for the future. He plans to strengthen the middle class which I believe is essential. With a majority of America in the middle class I just think it would be obvious to make it the strongest class. When it comes to the war in Iraq I think that his plan has strengths and flaws. I do believe that his idea to pull out the troops is right. I didn't think that they should have been there in the first place so I agree with this. The thing that I don't think is right is when he sets a date for the troops to be out of there. I think that anything can happen over there that may cause him to have to leave the troops over there. I kind of think that this is giving families false hope. Overall the book was not very exciting but it was very informative. I learned a lot about what Barack Obama plans to do as president.

Suppressing any individual is wrong. We all have learned and know that. So why the below reviewer wants to see how the shoe fits on the other foot - is just plain wrong. They didn't want it done to them, but it's okay to now do it to someone else?? I hope the people of America are more educated and compassionate than that reviewer. If so - we can make positive changes in this world, as Obama envisions.

He's so transparent and full of crap. All he's done successfully is start the distruction of our country from the inside out. Worst choice America has made.

Presents Obama¿s campaign positions and plan for the next four years. All the sound bits are here with the addition of details to flesh out the plan for people. Recent events may require that some of the plans be changed or adjusted. If you didn¿t pay much attention to the campaign speeches this book provides a quick way to get an overview of Obama¿s ideas and approach to solving America¿s problems.

President Obama woke me up to the truth. A truth that does not claim a specific social class, one that does not wear a party hat. A truth that is raceless, ageless, genderless and timeless. He is the face of change, real leadership, the “thousand points of light" this country needed. My respect and admiration of the President is beyond words. I look forward to reading any book he writes.

In some countries you can get arrested for saying one bad thing about your leader. Even if you dont believe in him remember he is still a nice man doing what he thinks is right. Wouldnt you do what you thought was right if you were president? Have some respect.
