Overview

Little Gail London and her friend Joel Quarrel are out on a cold and lonely morning at the end of summer, when they make the find of the century: a dead plesiosaur, the size of a two-ton truck, washed up on the sand. With the fog swirling about them, they make their plans, fight to defend their discovery, and face for the first time the enormity of mortality itself... all unaware of what else might be out there in the silver water of Lake Champlain.

The story was readable, but most $10 books are just that, books, not 30 page short stories. Buyer beware!

Why in the world would there be that kind of charge for a short story?

I purchased this just on a whim because of who his father is. I am very pleased to say that I am now checking out his other works. Joe Hill is as twisted as his father and is fast becoming another in my 'favorite author' category.

It was a good short story. A very short, short story. I thought I was paying for a book. I feel cheated.

A nice little story about some kids and their imaginations. And a large grey boulder.
