I do not usually review books, but I was so suprised by the inconsistencies that I could not keep quiet. It feels like the writer just makes up what ever will fit at that moment and completely forget sabout previous actions or words. The writer constantly puts the main characters into the same battles against jokingly overwhelming odds only to have one character kill hundreds. I had to laugh when a knight in full armorctakes on three hundred men and complains that he is Windex after killing the first hundred. A proof reader and an editor could have cut this down to an entertaining read. At this point it is almost comedy.

First of all, please remove the quote that puts Ms Rice in the company of Tolkien and George R R Martin. There is no comparison. The three books in this compilation continue the exploits of Thor and Gwen as the Ring is sacked and conquored by the million man army. I have seen enough closed captioning to recognize speach to print programs and I think Ms Rice dictates the books and publishes them without proofing or editing. This is disturbing and slows down the reading. The story is good, but Thor needs to meet his mother and gain all of his powers that have been hinted at for six books. Each book is rather short and nothing is resoved at the end, prompting the reader to purchas the next installment. Luckily, we are provided these rhree book packages so the story is not chopped up. I think the writer is pressed to publish quickly instead of making us wait, like we have had to do with The Game of Thrones.

I love these short books. I find that there is a compilation of all my favorite Sci-Fantasy authors rolled up into Morgan Rice's writings. I did manage to get past the spelling and grammar errors. LOL!!

The story could be great but are so many mistake. More once the author would be writing about one person and then use the wrong characters name in one of the sentences. Also how many special places does Gwen know about that noone else in the whole kindom does? If you can get past all the retarded mistakes and rehashed story plots the books are ok for how cheap they are.

I cant believe someone has the gull to compare this CRAP to GRRM and Tolkien. Talk about false advertising!! These books are so awful my 10 year old could write better plots. ABSOLUTE CRAP!!!

The writer has so many crutches, It's comedic. Thor can only be filled with the most power he has ever felt so many times. And everyone falls in love at first sight!
For the love of all things holy, learn the definition of the word "evicerated". I kept imagining people being magically sliced open and their inards spilling out before being burned up by touching the shield.
After reading "his troops were as indespensible as dogs" i just had to stop and find something else to read.

this series is extremely good but you must be an avid reader. So far I have read books 1-5 and am currently into book 6. They keep your interest and you can't put them down but at least to date it is a 12 book series and while each and everyone has been very interesting I have a feeling that we will not know the outcome until book 12 so you better be in it for the long haul because although individual adventures may come to and end the main story line continues on

Terrible. Poor pacing. Storyline appears to be written by a child of ten

I read these books and kept wishing for more, the potential was definitely there it was never realized. If you've never read epic fantasy this might be a easy safe start. It did help me fall asleep at night.

Ms. Rice shows she has a terrific imagination, as the story line is definitely engaging. Unfortunately, there are many grammatical errors and typos. Those are not half as distracting, however, as the repetitive language and childish descriptions of the characters' behavior. Also, there is no depth to her descriptions of the physical aspects of the people, places, or actions. It is very difficult to picture something as though it is real with such vague writing.

“Announce yourself!” one of the soldiers yelled out.
“I am Erec, son of Arosen, champion to King MacGil of the Western kingdom of the Ring,” Erec announced, sitting erect, using his authoritative voice. “I demand an audience with your Lord.”
“And who is it that wishes to speak to me?” came a booming voice.
That was the end of the series for me. The Sorcerer’s Ring series reminds me of the old movies they used to make fun of in Mystery Science Theatre. It’s so bad that you just have to laugh at it for a while. And then you get tired of it all and move on to

I love the storylines for this whole series but there are a lot of grammatical errors in every book. I really wish the either the writer or the publisher had a done a better job at proof reading!!!
