Reviewed by Anne Boling for Readers' Favorite Bullseye is a short story, 75 pages long, written by author David Baldacci. While this may be a short story, it is definitely worth reading. This is a review of the audio book. The author has brilliantly united his fans' favorite characters: Will Robie, Oliver Stone, and the Camel Club. Stone is at a mall bank to deposit his paycheck. Will Robie, a government-sanctioned assassin, is hot on the trail of his latest target. Robie and Stone do not know each other. Suddenly, a masked man murders the security guard. A group of masked men take the bank customers hostage. The masked men use plastic cables to tie the hostages in pairs and force them into a storage room. Cabled together, Robie and Stone spot each other as pros and begin to plot a way out of their predicament. Stone manages to retrieve his phone and contacts the Camel Club which comes rushing to their rescue. Robie and Stone put their minds together and figure out the real target while the Camel Club work together to thwart the robbers' plot. This tale may be short on pages but it has a large plot, filled with action, suspense, and humor. There were many laughable moments. It is obvious that the bad guys are not bank robbers so just what is it they were after? Combining Robie, Stone, and the Camel Club is a brilliant move on the part of David Baldacci. I am a big fan of the Will Robie series but haven’t read any of the Camel Club series - that will have to change. In combining the characters from two of his series, the author has introduced fans of one series to the characters of the other. That’s a clever way to gain fans for each series. My hope is that the author will consider a full-length story with the characters all working together. Ron McLarty is the narrator/reader in this tale. He does an excellent job, conveying a sense of emotion at just the right time.

It was good to meet the members of the Camel club again, and to have them joined with Will Robie was a very nice touch. I would have liked the story to go on longer!

I have fallen in love with David Baldacci books. This is the first book I've read in the Will Robie or Camel Club series. I think I would enjoy it more if I had read the first books before getting engrossed in this mini-read. Even without the background, I enjoyed the book and intrigue. Robie and Stone develop a relationship as they are thrust into the middle of what appears to be a bank robbery. This is one of the more interesting novellas I have read. Kudos to David Baldacci on another hit.

Great read as most of Baldacci's books are but far too short even for a "short story"

I saw the strange person walk into the abandoned institute. What is she doing here, I think to myself. No one had been in that place since the war. Except for me of course. So, deciding it was better than allerting the Clave, I followed the person who was probably a human into the institute.
