I have seen 16-month-old or 4-year old kids ask for candies or chocolate before, but I have not seen them asking for a book until I got "Brain Quest Workbook: Pre-K."

A few weeks ago, I have read some pages of "Brain Quest Workbook: Pre-K" to 4-year-old Betsy and her twin sister Irene and their little 16-month-old sister, Sara once. Ever since that, they always want me to read the book to them, or do an activity in the book. To them, this book is like a game and filled with fun. Sometimes I even caught them taking this book from the bookshelf and read it themselves.

This book is so attractive to kids because it gives kids what they like: bright color illustrations, interesting animals, stickers, maze, line drawings for coloring. The only problem I have is that I only have one copy of this book, and Betsy always fights with her twin sister Irene for the chance to color a certain line drawing, or do a certain activity. I need to have another copy to make them both happy.

"Brain Quest Workbook: Pre-K" provide a lot of education materials in a fun manner, including ABCs, 123s, Phonics, Vocabulary, Shapes and Colors, Sorting and Matching, My World, Science, Fun and Games, and Brain Quest Extra (Mini-Deck Cards, Brainiac Award Certificate, Alphabet Stickers, Animal Stickers, and Alphabet Fold-Out Table, etc).

"Brain Quest Workbook: Pre-K" has 320 pages. It is written by Liane Onish, with Jane Ching Fung, the 2002 Winner of the Milken Foundation Educator Award as Consulting Editor. It is a fun book that kids love!

I had purchased the 3rd grade book for my son, who just completed 3rd, because I didn't want him to forget anything over the summer...and he's used the flip-card books before, so I knew we had a history of liking Brain Quest products. When my 3.5-year-old saw his workbook, she wanted her own. She really loves doing workbook pages, and they're an appropriate level for a child who's familiar with colors, shapes, basic letters/numbers, and is starting to attempt to write. This book (and frankly the 3rd grade book as well) are highly interesting for me as well -- it's great to see the things that your child knows, especially knowledge/skills you weren't expecting them to have. Highly recommend all of the Brain Quest products.

This is an excellent workbook to help prepare your youngster for kindergarten. It is colorful, educational and fun to do. I have found it best to spend a few minutes daily at a set time to interact with your child. Quiet his mind before you begin so you have his full attention.
