About the Author

A graduate in social science, Mike Knowles was born and educated in the North East of England. In 1966 he joined Durham Police as a cadet and spent twenty-five years on Tyneside climbing to a senior rank in the CID. After his police career, he moved into private security with the London based office of a renowned American detective agency. Now retired, he lives with his wife in Spain where he spends most of his spare time writing novels based on his experience.
