Brian Dennison gets tapped as chief of detectives at state headquarters in Boston. His first review turns up a stinker: Why is "Short Joey" Mossi still loose?

Mossi's a hit man, and Dennison wants him locked up. But Bob Brennan, Mossi's tracker, lacks the drive. Or is he bent? Or is "Bomber's Law" superior to the Commonwealth's?

"Higgins is still the best at writing about lawyers and the dirty things they do." --John Grisham

George V.Higgins had amaster touch with dialogue, telling the story subtly with dead on speech patterns and vocabulary.Bombers Law is one of his very best, engaging and surprising.
