This is the story of two brothers born in a small border village in Ireland. One brother is kidnapped as a baby and raised by a member of the British armed forces. He grows up not knowing his Irish background and joins the British army. His brother is raised in a nationalist home and joins the I.R.A. He is sent to Libya to train as a sniper, returning to Ireland he receives orders to kill senior members of the security services and top unionist politicians. His brother becomes a member of the British intelligence services and receives orders to hunt down the mystery sniper and kill him.

I just picked this book up at the local Good Will to have something to read on a trip and even though the book is a slow read the ending made it worth reading.
