Those who only know Bill Cosby as an '80s television star and product pitchman don't know how truly funny and edgy he used to be when he first started out. Bill Cosby Is a Very Funny Fellow is his first album, and it's as good a place to start as any, with the "Noah" trilogy included. A story about the free entertainment on New York subways, a trash-talking Noah, a parody of television commercials, and a karate dissection are included.

The Noah bits are truly outstanding! Listened to these on actual albums (remember those) and haven't heard them for years. Laughed just as hard now as I did back then. If you're only familiar with The Cosby Show on TV you're really missing out on Cosby's talent. These are stories and sketches that are funny...not cheap one liners any yahoo could string together.

I love how Bill Cosby can be so funny without cursing or or talking about sex.

I ordered this CD for a long drive with my daughter and grandmother to go visit family up north. It worked like a charm! It passed the time nicely - everyone was laughing, and all of his material is appropriate for all ages! Love him!

I grew up listening to Mr. Cosby's humor, in fact my parent's, who were very strict on what was played on the living room console, purchased this album (on vinyl) for us kids to listen to. It is still very funny today!
