Overview

If A Maddox boy falls in love, he loves forever. But what if he didn't love you, first?

No-nonsense Liis Lindy is an agent of the FBI. Deciding she is married only to her job, she breaks off her engagement and transfers from Chicago to the field office in San Diego. She loves her desk. She is committed to her laptop. She dreams of promotions and shaking hands with the director after cracking an impossible case.

Special Agent in Charge Thomas Maddox is arrogant, unforgiving, and ruthless. He is tasked with putting away some of the world's toughest criminals, and he is one of the best the Bureau has to offer. Though, as many lives as he's saved, there is one that is beyond his reach. Younger brother Travis is faced with prison time for his involvement in a basement fire that killed dozens of college students, and the media want a conviction. Travis's only savior is his unusual tie to the mob. In a deal that will spare his brother, Thomas has agreed to recruit Travis into the FBI.

Liis is stubborn, defiant, and yet somehow softens Thomas's rough edges, making her the perfect agent to accompany him to the ceremony. Posing as a couple, they must travel to Travis & Abby's beach vow renewal and give him the news, but when the pretending ends, she finds herself wondering if they were pretending at all.

In the second installment of the Maddox Brothers books, experience firsthand the mysterious world of the elusive Thomas Maddox, and how good love can be when you're not the first, but the last.

If the series is called the Maddox brothers then why are the books written from the females point of view? I loved reading Travis' s book and seeing life through his eyes. It was the best book. I wanted so badly to hear Trent's side of things and now Thomas. You gave us these 5 boys that struggled to grow up without a mom and an emotionally absent father and we cheer for them to find their happy ending but it's like you cut us off from them. We have to read the girls point of view and frankly it sucks. I want to know the boys better and know what they think. I want know what they're doing and feeling when the couples are apart. Since there are 2 main characters in each book why not write it in the third person so you can switch between them and give us both sides? I doubt you'll write 2 books for each brother like you did with Travis but I really wish you would. Or just write it from their point of view. Im a fan of the brothers and just want to hear more from them, thats all.

There is Nothing Like A Maddox Brother Falling In Love!! Beautiful Redemption was absolutely amazing!! I absolutely loved this book. I started reading this book yesterday and I could not put it down until I was finished with it. I most certainly know, after having read Beautiful Redemption, that Trent's book, Beautiful Oblivion, merely set the stage for Thomas' book. What a roller coaster Jamie McGuire took me on with this one. I did not want this one to end. This was a story about a Maddox brother falling in love with the love of his life, his real true forever partner. I loved that Jamie McGuire took us down Thomas' road to real true love, a Maddox type of love. She did not shy away from all of his pain and guilt over the situation between him, Trent and Cami, or the situation with Travis. She showed us how much Thomas' love for his brothers and his family, and most esp. his mother, affected his life and his choices. I am so in love with Thomas Maddox. Thomas Maddox is the oldest Maddox brother and he has basically spent his life taking care of his brothers and never really living for himself, and the one time he attempted to do that, it did not work out so well, because it was not with the right person. My heart absolutely broke for Thomas Maddox. He has carried such a burden, hiding his career choice from his family, falling in love with the wrong girl (I am sorry to say, but I really don't care for Cami), and trying to protect his brothers, esp. Travis Maddox. I have to say that I actually became upset with Travis in this one, because I felt like his whole world focused so on Abby that he could not even see all that his brother was doing for him to him out of a mess he brought upon himself, or how it was affecting his brother. After all that he has sacrificed, Thomas deserves happiness in his life, and this is where Liis Lindy comes into play, although that was not an easy road traveled, but what Maddox brother's road to real true love is??!! I absolutely loved Liis' character. She was gorgeous, smart, independent and kick butt, but she was also stubborn and fearful, but, more importantly, she was Thomas' equal. I cannot wait for the next one in this series, although I do not think any of the books will beat out Thomas' book. For me, Beautiful Redemption is right up there with Beautiful Disaster. Bravo, Jamie McGuire!! Bravo!!

Beautiful Redemption, book #2 in the Maddox Brothers series, by Jamie McGuire, was my most anticipated read for 2015! Jamie worked her McGuire/Maddox magic again and I'm more in love with this series than I was before! All I can say is, Have Mercy Thomas Maddox!  He's everything you'd expect out of a Maddox and so much more.  He takes sexiness, stubbornness, and you can't even imagine how swoon-worthy he is until you dive in.  Liis is a smart, sassy, badass, full of enough attitude to make a Maddox man fall to his knees.  Apart they're a mess, but together they are HOT! Beautiful Redemption is so good I read it in one sitting...I tried pacing myself and I couldn't do it. It's just that good!  It's about family, heartbreak, and falling in love with the person you least expect. For all of the Maddox lovers...DO NOT wait to read this book...forget your TBRs...READ THIS BOOK NOW! You won't regret it!

I'm not sure where to start. I loved this book.  I read it as soon as I possibly could and quite possibly as fast as I could.  I know the Maddox men are intense and I in particular really wanted to read Thomas's story because it seemed like I knew the least about him.  And guess what? I loved everything I learned about him. Liis and Thomas are so alike, which is what makes them so interesting.  They both have strong personalities which clash.  Neither of them are good at giving others an in.  Thomas doesn't do well with women and it was surprising to see how quickly Liis became important to him.  However knowing how quickly Maddox men claim their women, I shouldn't have been surprised.   I loved being in Liis's head.  It allowed a unique perspective that allowed me to see Thomas differently.  My initial impressions of him from previous books weren't great, but seeing him through her eyes and thoughts allowed me to see what I knew of him wasn't the entire picture.  I loved Liis.  She's willing to let Thomas in, but is leery of the fact he used to recently be in love with someone else.  I totally understood why she fought against being in a relationship with Thomas.  I also understood Thomas's frustration at trying to convince Liis to give him a real chance.  The chemistry the two had was almost palpable.  I loved seeing them spar and interact with each other. I think the aspect of the book that impressed me the most was the detail into the life of a federal agent.  Jamie McGuire really did her research and managed to integrate the workings into the story.  It never seemed like it was extra, but only managed to enhance the story ; the integration was seamless.  There were moments when I was terrified for both Liis and Thomas, others when I was laughing with them, and yet more when I was feeling their intense chemistry. It's hard to see who I loved more, Liis or Thomas.  I do know Thomas's anguish at what he'd hidden from his family and what he was going to have to do to save someone he loved, weighed heavy on me as well.  On one hand he couldn't let his loved ones hurt if he did nothing, but then if he tried to help, it would still hurt them.  Now that I've fallen in love with Thomas as well, I can't wait to read Beautiful Sacrifice and fall in love with another Maddox man.

Seriously, how is this book getting such positive reviews? Shes never written anything as good as beaitiful disaster. Never come close to Travis abd Abby. I keep buying her books hoping they get better. I felt ABSOLUTELY no chemistry between thomas and Liis. None, felt forced. I dont even feel like the book was well written and originized. Dont bother. After reading beautiful disaster you assume the other books will be filled with that same passion......they arent.

I loved Travis from the start...was so so about Trent. ..but OMG...Thomas is just awesome. Yes I wanted to throat punch him a couple of times. ..but then i wanted to do the same to Liis. Both are just so stupidly stubborn at times...but I love them. My new favorite Jamie Mcguire book...keep them coming!

This is my first book by the author. It was a nice tale but it felt confusing at times and the emotional ping-pong between the two main characters was annoying. It took several chapters before the story started to flow and it ended well. There are great bones and this has the potential of being a great series.

4.5 Stars One of the youngest ASACs in Bureau history, Thomas Maddox has earned a reputation for being arrogant, unyielding, and utterly lethal. He holds a tight rein over the agents in his office and expects perfection from each and every one of them. But before he'd been promoted to ASAC, Thomas had worked at FBI HQ in Washington where he'd caught a lead from an agent working in the Asian Criminal Enterprise Unit on one of Benny Carlisi's goons—a goon his brother, Travis, had beaten unconscious one night to protect his girlfriend, Abby. When Thomas had first started investigating Benny's numerous illegal activities, it had just been blind luck that his brother had met and fallen in love with the daughter of a person of interest in one of the Bureau's bigger cases. Because it had been their connection to the case and the mob that had gotten Thomas promoted to ASAC. But when Travis faces criminal charges for his involvement in an illegal fight ring and fire that caused the deaths of one hundred thirty-two college kids, Thomas cuts a deal with the Bureau to spare his brother prison time ... IF Travis agrees to go undercover for the FBI. After breaking off her engagement, Special Agent Liis Lindy transferred from Chicago to the San Diego field office, which had seemed like the perfect solution after being in a suffocating relationship. Now, she's experiencing her new independence with the added freedom of having no one at home who expects a report of her whereabouts. Moving on is key to climbing the ranks in the Bureau and Liis has a set goal that she's determined to achieve ... one that doesn’t include a significant other. But after sitting on the same bar stool for two hours drinking a respectful percentage of her relocation incentive that the FBI had so generously deposited into her account, Liis decides that letting her guard down for a beautiful stranger is justifiable. Especially after her sixth Manhattan. Her girlfriends in Chicago have always lauded the benefits of the strings-free one-night stand, and the guy sitting two stools down from her seems like the perfect one to try it with. So after giving him fair warning that she's emotionally unavailable, Liis takes him back to her new condo for a great and unexpected end to the day. But drinking away the night before her first day in the San Diego field office proves NOT to be the most intelligent thing she's ever done. Much to her horror, Liis discovers that her beautiful, strings-free one-night stand turns out to be not only her neighbor, but her new boss, ASAC Maddox. And he needs her help to convince his brother that going undercover for the FBI to gain intelligence on the inner workings of Benny's illegal operations is in his best interest. Beautiful Redemption is a well-written, romantic read with a satisfying HEA. Thomas has sacrificed so much for his family over the years—losing his mother, changed him. Giving up the woman he loved because his brother loved her first, crushed him. And if Travis goes to prison, it'll destroy him. Liis is smart, confident, independent, and most importantly, she's Thomas' equal. I loved that she was defiant, stubborn and snarky. While their meet-cute was equally humorous and horrifying and complicated their entire working relationship, it was ultimately the amount of baggage between them that made their romantic relationship messy at best. In the end, though, Thomas and Liis were a good fit.

Loved this book! Love reading another book about the Maddox brothers. Jamie McGuire never lets me down when it comes to her books. I loved Trent's story, and being able to see another side of him that we didn't see in "Beautiful Disaster". Literally could not put the book down the whole time, especially with the twist involved towards the end.

This book pulled me in from the very beginning, I ended up finishing the book at 2 in the morning. Thomas’s story was one I wanted to read since BeautifulOblivion, what was revealed in that book left my head spinning and I immediately wished that I knew more about him and his life. This book was perfect, and as a Maddox brother I could se the resemblance to his brothers, they are all sort of the same, they love without boundaries and I love that. We learn more about Thomas through Liis Lindy’s eyes, she is our heroine in this book and she absolutely delivers. She has a very strong character and perfect to match Thomas’s, as an FBI agent she is not afraid of challenges or of scolding the guys in her team. I loved that her interactions with Thomas were very intense and despite almost never letting her guar down, she was able to convey her true feelings to him. And what can I say about Thomas? He absolutely stole my heart, I love the sincerity with which he talks, he wasn’t afraid to speak up and defend his feelings even if sometimes they weren’t received, I could see so much of Travis and Trent in him. The story that McGuire weaves is amazing, she was able to have me interested in all the FBI detective stuff and not just in the romance part, the book is really fast paced, there’s never a dull moment with this two and also with the rest of the gang working at the FBI. It was so nice to go back and see what Travis and Trent are doing back home, how they stories are progressing and how in love they are with their girls. I can’t wait to read the story of the next Maddox, the twins are coming!
