Authentic Faith is an easy to read tool for any person to examine their faith in God. The Bible tells us that we are forgiven and given eternal life by faith, and so we need to find out if our "faith" is what the Bible says it should be. When you read Authentic Faith you will find the pages filled with Scripture and easy to understand commentary on the nature of true, biblically authentic faith. Counterfeit Christianity is all too common, and Authentic Faith is a tool to confront unbiblical and ineffective faith with the truth of God's Word.

About the Author

Jordan Rogers is the Senior Pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland, TX. He is a firm believer in the inerrancy and authority of Scripture. Jordan was a college baseball player, playing at both San Jacinto Junior College in Northeast Houston, and then for Rice University of Houston, TX. He was drafted to play Major League Baseball three different times by the Colorado Rockies, San Diego Padres, and the Chicago Cubs. However, the Lord's plan for Jordan's life was to pursue full-time ministry, specifically to preach God's Word. He believes in expository (text-driven) preaching, and preaches verse-by-verse exposition through the Bible. Jordan holds an A.A. from San Jacinto Junior College; a B.A. in Classical Studies and Ancient Mediterranean Civilizations from Rice University; an M.A. in Theological Studies from Midwestern Baptist Theological Studies; an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; and is currently working on completing a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies with emphasis in Biblical Preaching from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
