About the Author
Allia Zobel Nolan is an internationally-published author of over 200 children’s titles and adult trade titles. Her books reflect her two main passions, God and cats. Zobel Nolan lives and writes in Connecticut with her husband, Desmond Nolan and their two feline children.
Alida Massari is an Italian artist specializing in illustration for children. She has illustrated many books, collaborating with Italian, English, German, and American publishers. Her books have been translated in numerous countries. Massari was born in Rome where she studied art and illustration. Now she lives in a little Etruscan town, with her husband and daughter, Diana.

Angels in the Bible for Little Ones by Allia Zobel Nolan is spot on for young readers. The richly colored illustrations are visually appealing and engage a youngster’s attention to the eight Bible stories about angels. The size of the board book is small enough for little hands to hold yet large enough for an adult to hold who may read the stories aloud. The thick pages also add to the ease of use for little ones who want to turn the pages by themselves without fear of tearing them. Angels in the Bible for Little Ones is sure to be read again and again as little ones discover how angels are God’s helpers in the Bible. They may also keep an eye out for angels here on earth, too!
Angels in the Bible is a chunky board book, great for little hands. It tells the story of 8 different Angels that God used. The 30 page were beautifully illustrated by Alida Massari. God uses different people and Angels to accomplish the work that he wants done. This book is a great introduction for little ones to see how God used angels. I’ll often tell my children that they have a Guardian Angel watching out for them, especially when they’ve done something that should have rendered them injured. This has made them curious to know more about Angels. “Angels in the Bible for Little Ones” is a great introduction for little ones who are just beginning to explore their faith and want to know more about Angels and what they do. “Angels in the Bible for Little Ones” by Allia Zobel Nolan is a board book for children that introduces them to the Angels we read about in the Bible. The book covers both the Old and New Testaments, retelling stories of how Angels interacted with Elijah, Daniel, Mary and many others. The illustrations are beautiful created by Alisa Massari. The colours are rich and each image has a comforting feeling. I love how the author shows the emotion in the faces of each being illustrated. While we don’t know exactly what an angel looks like, I like how the author depicts them in a way that is familiar to what my children are accustomed to seeing. The pages are sturdy cardboard, perfect for little hands to hold. Each story is short, covering about 4 pages. Read one story at a time or the whole book. Each story shares a scripture reference so that you explore each story in more depth. The stories in “Angels in the Bible for Little Ones” are told so that even the littlest child can understand. They read wonderfully out loud making them perfect for sharing at bedtime or Sunday School. “Angels in the Bible for Little Ones” shares the stories of the Angels in the Bible, sharing their messages of love from God. I love how the first story of “Abraham and the Three Visitors” tells us that while the three visitors looked like men, they were really Angels. This story is a great time to talk to your children about the Angels we may encounter in our own lives. “Angels in the Bible for Little Ones” is a wonderful introduction to the Angels that we read about in the Bible. It includes the stories of Daniel in the Lions Den, the Angel visiting Mary about Future Baby Jesus's birth, Abraham and the Three Visitors, Food for Elijah, The Heavenly Choir Singing to the Shepherds about Jesus's Birth, The Resurrection of Jesus, John's Vision of Heaven, and more. My youngest daughter finds reading the stories easy and likes to read them to her baby dolls. It is a great book for Christian preschools, day cares, nurseries or for a gift for your favorite baby or preschooler. Well-written with beautifully illustrated pictures.
