It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle. It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two. It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires...and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire.

My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.

This is the story of an American Queen.

I did not realize the male on male relationship along with a female character. I do not care for this genre and i would not have purchased if i knew the storyline. I must not have understood the genre when i purcgased this.

(For those of you with a love of English Literature, this is a contemporary version of the Arthurian Legend... not the Camelot musical or the Disney-ish version of the legend. For ages, it has been debated what the relationship between Arthur, Lancelot, and Guinevere was like. As an aficionado of the legend, I can assure you our author has come very close to what scholars have debated for years regarding this love triangle and its consequences.)

This book was incredibly hot, but between the three books, it broke my heart a little for each of the characters. The connections to the original Camelot is beautifully, hauntingly done, I think I found my new favorite author.

May be one of the most captivating and consuming stories I’ve ever read! From the first few pages I was completely compelled to keep reading and unable to put it down! Every character so complexly thought out and literally sucks you in! It’s gasp worthy, tear worthy and moan worthy!

I have wanted to read this for soo long! I finally found a little extra time and decided now was the time. And I’m completely gobsmacked and blown away!!! This was beyond what words can describe, a tale of love and loss and love and so so much more! The one good thing about waiting to start, is not having to wait to end. I can’t wait (which I won’t) to jump into the next epic tale that conuinues this mind blowing story. I thought I loved Sierra before. I’m fairly certain you can triple that now!!!

Wow! I was NOT expecting that! Deliciously romantic, sexy, depraved, name it. What ever word you think of, it describes this book. It definitely measures up to all of the hype. Sierra truly has a way with words. I don’t know how much freaking research you need to do for something like this but damn! If she made any of this up, she fooled the crap out of me because everything felt so real and honest. Like she a was an actual political insider. I totally believe she knows all that info on King Arthur but the political side? Who KNOWS that stuff?!? How do you research that stuff?!? Brilliant. Absolutely brilliant!

Sierra Simone has done it again. She’s weaved a story where my heart was just drawn in. I fell in love with Greer and her elegance. Her heart and her strength define this book in ways you cannot even imagine. It has to be read so you can take her strength and appreciate this book so much. I have always loved political romances but this is not just a political romance. This is about a girl, becoming a princess and rising up to become a queen. Greer is the granddaughter of an American president so she’s grown up in the cutthroat world of politics. She knows how to handle herself around men and how to present herself. She meets Ash and Embry in two very different ways but holy hell you will love her interactions with both of these enigmatic men. I spent this entire book just giving my heart to the three of them. I cannot express empathically enough just how much this book has consumed my heart and my life. It’s sexy. It’s raw. It’s love. It’s desire. Their interactions with each other, their romance will have you flipping the pages wanting more and more and more and more of them. You will not be able to get enough of them. I promise this book is explosive, much like my reaction at the cliff hanger. Sierra. My heart. You literally made my heart stop and I was like ‘NOOOOO!!’ Read it, you’ll love it. Just beware of the cliff hanger but still read it! 5 stars

Strap on your vibrators, girls. Strap them on RIGHT NOW because you need to be prepared. Sierra Simone has written one of the hottest Hot Romance Novels since, like, ever. I'm going to try my best to not reveal anything about this book that is spoiler-ish, so I beg your forgiveness for what could be a fairly vague review. The granddaughter of an American vice president, Greer Galloway knows her way around politics. One of the things her grandfather values about her is her canny ability to read people. She knows what a shadow on someone's face indicates, and she recognizes their tells when they're nervous. She's perceptive. She also knows herself. She knows what she desires, and she knows how she desires it. She knows what she values. When she is only fifteen, she meets Ash, a man more than a decade her senior and a man who becomes the President of the United States. Six years after meeting him, she meets Embry, a man who becomes Ash's vice president. She cares for them both, albeit in slightly different ways. She wants them both. She realizes, though, that her wants might not be able to happen. Okay, so there is your plot (ish). Let's get to the good stuff, shall we? The hot headboard rocking in this book will cause you to go INSANE with need for release. I am not kidding, faithful readers. In-Freaking-Sane. But better than that is the way Simone writes this story. She has to address several elements of Greer's being, not the least of which is trust. As Greer observes, "Trust without truth isn't actually trust." She needs to know the truth, and she needs to share the truth, even if doing so will bring her heartache. And then there is this: "I'm nothing, I'm everything, I'm the light and the dark and the air and the void. Strong force, weak force, gravity, electricity, magnetism are all pinning me underneath this violent, tragic soldier." It's beautiful, right? This romance will drive you nuts, both with Needs and with angst. Simone will keep you wondering who will "win" and who will "lose." She will make you wish so dearly that no one gets hurt, and she will make you worry. She also will make you suspicious of one particular character, a suspicion that bears out when this book ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER. Oh, Sierra Simone, I am not amused by that cliffhanger AT ALL. And then I get to this exchange, which fans of Simone will appreciate: "I'll be as chaste as a priest. I promise." "I hear not all priests are that chaste these days." And so I am willing to forgive her for making me wait for the sequel because of how she made me feel while I read this book. The thing is, I want more. And you will, too.

Oh. My. God. This book is....Intense. Sexual. Dark. Beautiful. Painful. I have no way of describing how this book made me feel. It was such a ride of emotions and love and lust. I tried so hard to make it last, but it sucked me in and wouldn't let me go. I am dying inside waiting for American Prince because the ending was so intense. I hope it's coming soon. I need it in my life.

Okay. I knew some things about this story ahead of time. I knew the MFM. I knew erotica, I guess I didn't quite realize some of the BDSM. There was a lot of the submissive/master sex in the story, and that doesn't really do it for me most of the time. In fact, especially not to the degree it was in some parts of this. However, I do like how the author kind of explained why the dominant did some things the way they did. And that helped me with being able to read and enjoy the story. There was some pretty extreme sexual situations towards the end of the book, in what was getting close to what could have been a HEA. If it had ended that way, I may have stopped. But it didn't, it left off with a MAJOR cliffhanger, and so I had to immediately order the sequel and now need to get it read soon so that I can see what happens. I do have to admit that cover though, it is so beautiful. How anyone wouldn't see it and immediately want to pick it up and see what it was about would be beyond me. Just know that if you decide to read this one, you have to be open to the things I've mentioned above.

American Queen by Sierra Simone......OMG, I don't even know how to start this review except to say, I FREAKING LOVED THIS BOOK!! This is a sexy hot adult fairy tale with fantastic characters and a beautiful love triangle. I devoured this book in one sitting, I could not you it down. Greer is a smart strong beautiful woman, Ash is a good looking powerful President and Embry is a sexy sweet vice president. This story keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through. This is my first book by Sierra Simone and I can't wait to read more books, Love the writing style.

Incredible retelling of King Arthur's story. It's just so incredibly good with a good dose of BDSM. I don't think that I've read anything by Sierra that was MMF before, but it's crazy and incredible. I loved the book.

Ok, so here's the deal. Goodreads says I've read roughly 252 books this year. Some of those are Audiobooks I reviewed, and then there are more Audiobooks that I listened to and never got around to writing a review. So, between eBooks and Audiobooks, I've probably consumed closer to 300 books this year. Choosing a favorite book in a year is pretty much an impossibility for me, so my next statement holds a lot of weight. I'm declaring American Queen my HOTTEST read of the year. HOT doesn't even begin to describe it though. It's so much more. It's a glorious ménage of all sorts of feelings and things. Forbidden, political thriller, mysterious, thoughtful, sensual, commanding, shocking and all-consuming. I could go on forever. This book broke me and I’m having a really hard time moving on from it! I was quite shocked to come to the end and find that this book is part of a series and there is a cliffhanger, but all is forgiven if I get more of what I just read! Warning: this book contains scenes of m/m/f & m/m. If those things are in your comfort zone or you're at least willing to give them a try for the first time I HIGHLY recommend this book!

It is rare to find a book in this genre that still has a strong plot. It even manages to parallel Arthurian legends. Can't wait until the next one.

This book is amazing. If I could give it 10,000 stars I would. Seriously. Amazing. Sierra Simone completely consumes me. She sucks me in with her amazing writing. Sinks her claws into me with her filthy fantasies. And makes my heart race and my stomach drop with her plot. Wow. I'm in awe of Sierra Simone. Greer. Ash. Embry. I don't even know how to write a proper review because I don't want to give anything away. I love Greer. I love meeting here when she was a young, shy girl. I quickly became attached to this character. I love Ash. A soldier turned president. But one who has a dark, dominating, controlling side to him I love Embry. A soldier turned vice president. Ash's best friend. It's not a love triangle. It's not a traditional fairy tale ending. It's so much more than that. Bottom line: read this book. One click right now.
