American Economic History Seventh Edition contains a wide variety of economic and political theory from Karl Marx on communism to Ronald Reagan on supply side economics and Milton Friedman on Monetary Economics.
The purpose of this book is to examine the evolution of economic thought and the historical events that affected the economic growth of the world's industrialized countries, with emphasis on the United States.
This is not a book about government, or industry, it is about the people, past and present that contributed to the current understanding of economic and political theory in an historical context.
The major theories of micro and macroeconomics are discussed but the major emphasis is how these theories were developed and taught by those economists and political thinkers who invented them in the first place.
The book also contains current economic data for the Gross Domestic Product (March 2017), Employment (April 2017), the Money Supply (December 2016), the President's 2018 Budget and many other economic indicators.
