Overview

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Rachel Van Dyken...

She left.
Two words I can't really get out of my head.
She left us.
Three more words that make it that much worse.
Three being another word I can't seem to wrap my mind around.
Three kids under the age of six, and she left because she missed it. Because her dream had never been to have a family, no her dream had been to marry a rockstar and live the high life.
Moving my recording studio to Seaside Oregon seems like the best idea in the world right now especially since Seaside Oregon has turned into the place for celebrities to stay and raise families in between touring and producing. It would be lucrative to make the move, but I'm doing it for my kids because they need normal, they deserve normal. And me? Well, I just need a break and help, that too. I need a sitter and fast. Someone who won't flip me off when I ask them to sign an Iron Clad NDA, someone who won't sell our pictures to the press, and most of all? Someone who looks absolutely nothing like my ex-wife.

He's tall.
That was my first instinct when I saw the notorious Trevor Wood, drummer for the rock band Adrenaline, in the local coffee shop. He ordered a tall black coffee which made me smirk, and five minutes later I somehow agreed to interview for a nanny position. I couldn't help it; the smaller one had gum stuck in her hair while the eldest was standing on his feet and asking where babies came from. He looked so pathetic, so damn sexy and pathetic that rather than be star-struck, I took pity. I knew though; I knew the minute I signed that NDA, the minute our fingers brushed and my body became insanely aware of how close he was--I was in dangerous territory, I just didn't know how dangerous until it was too late. Until I fell for the star and realized that no matter how high they are in the sky--they're still human and fall just as hard.

I love cross over series and All Stars Fall did not disappoint it was everything I expect from this author and a cross over read. Penelope left Cunningham Falls, Montana to start over because she needed a fresh start but the last thing she expected was to meet a rock star that she crushed over in her youth. After a chance meeting Penny seemed to fall into the job as part time nanny for rocker Trevor Wood and his adorable children and as she settles in at Seaside she realises there is no place else she would rather be. Trevor Wood’s is getting over a messy divorce and he is trying to bring his twin 6 year old boys and his 4 year old little girl as normal as is possible when you have a rock star as a father could Penny be the perfect mix for his family or will lines be crossed and ruin it all........ I loved this book, I loved the characters, the wonderful and adorable kids as well as the swoon worthy rockers all had me sighing for different reasons. This story stole a piece of my heart and I’m really not sure I will ever get it back, what a fantastic read All Stars Fall was abd you need to read it...... (less)

After his ex-wife leaves them, rock star Trevor Wood uproots his life and his children moving to Seaside, Oregon.  A chance meeting with Penelope in a coffee shop has Trevor convincing her to interview to be his children's part time nanny.  After the NDA is signed, Penny realizes that she may have signed up for more than she can handle.   Penny is great with the children and they are just too cute. The characters were easy to relate to and totally likeable. Trevor is an awesome single dad and the relationship he has with his children was heart warming.   The chemistry between Trevor and Penny is intense and I loved how it blossomed into so much more.     All Stars Fall is well written and kept me engaged from the first to the last chapter.

Trevor and Penny are amazing!!!

Really tugs at the heart strings. Love how behind the fame and glory our heroes and crushes can be super sexy dads with catsup or mustard smeared on their clothes hopping around swearing from the lego underfoot injury. My kind of sexy man.

4.225 > Rockstar Daddy and Barista Nanny ~ Cute, Funny, Sexy! ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ 4-STAR ✩ REVIEW ✩ ✩ ✩ ✩ A good looking couple in a close, somewhat intimate pose grace the cover. Dual font title is easy to read. Author’s name is readily visible. Simple yet attractive cover composition caught the eye which prompted me to read the synopsis. I loved the synopsis, it sounded sweet, funny and sexy. PreOrdered without a second thought. POV ~> Alternating first person pov. Trevor is the drummer in the band Adrenaline and single dad to three kiddos under the age of five. Twins, Malcom and Eric, and little Bella. The kids are acting out, still missing their mom after she abandoned the four of them one day without hardly a backward glance. Trevor’s still reeling and trying to balance his life. Penelope’s new in town. She left Montana for a new start. Working as a barista in a small town, she never imagined becoming a rockstar's nanny as well but that’s exactly what happens after her middle school crush walks through the coffee shop doors with the young n’s in-tow, looking exhausted and defeated. Life’s not perfect but it is a whole heap better when they’re working it out together. Throw in some bandmates and it adds a bit more fun to the mix. Great adult chemistry between the leads. The kids are cute but chaotic. There are a few hiccups along the way that need resolving, which is done timely and in a believable manner. The plot was enjoyable and easy to read. Smooth, seamless timeline kept the pages turning. Predictability was low. The conclusion was solid. This was the first piece that I’ve read in over five years by Van Dyken and enjoyed this one MUCH more than the last, to the point where I am extremely tempted to backtrack to read the other stories – which I should say is NOT necessary, but there are a few minor secondary characters that you can tell had stories written already but because they do not have a huge role in this book, a new reader will not feel lost or like they are missing something crucial to the story. . Rating: [R] ~ Score: 4.225 ~ Stars: 4 ========================== ⭐ ⭐ **** Disclosure of Material: I PreOrdered a copy of this book from Amazon and am voluntarily leaving unbiased and unsolicited feedback. ALL STARS FALL is instalment 3.5 in Rachel Van Dyken’s contemporary, adult SEASIDE PICTURES romance series. This is thirty-one year old drummer and producer Trevor Wood, and twenty-seven year old, teacher/barista/nanny Penelope’s story line. ALL STARS FALL can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary. For followers of the series Penelope is Dani Garcia- Green’s cousins (Capture #1) NOTE: ALL STAR FALL is part of the Kristen Proby BIG SKY cross over collection. Told from dual first person points of view (Penny and Trevor) ALL STARS FALL focuses on the building relationship between thirty-one year old musician and producer Trevor Wood, and twenty-seven year old, teacher/barista/nanny Penelope. Trevor Wood is a single father, in desperate need of a nanny. Meeting part time barista Penelope at the local coffee shop stirred something within our story line hero, something he hasn’t felt in a very long time, Offering Penelope a position as nanny to his three rambunctious children, Trevor finds himself drawn to the nanny for more than a business proposition. What ensues is the building relationship between employer and employee, and the potential fall-out as Trevor’s past comes looking for a second chance. We are re-introduced to the friends and the band: Dani and Lincoln Green (Capture), Zane and Fallon (Keep), and Will and Angelica (Steal), as well as Drew, Jamie Jaymeson, Demetri, Alex and Ty. ALL STARS FALL is a story of family, struggle, falling in love, and letting go of the past. Penelope doesn’t do relationships with the rich and famous, having witnessed the notoriety and fall-out of her cousin’s life. Meeting Trevor Wood and his three adorable children meant putting her teaching degree to use in a way she never imagined. The premise is fast paced and entertaining; the characters are colorful and energetic; the romance is passionate but most implied.

‘And sometimes in falling, you find your forever.’ All Stars Fall is a fitting title for Trevor and Penelope’s story because if Trevor’s marriage wouldn’t have fallen apart…if Penelope wouldn’t have fallen on difficult times…if they wouldn’t have somehow fallen into a new kind of chaotic normalcy together, regardless of the different worlds they come from and the messy baggage that they carry, especially Trevor, then neither of them would have found their next big adventure or finally realized that all of their falling brought them exactly where they needed to be. I love that Rachel Van Dyken didn’t portray Trevor as ‘Mr. Mom’, as a father without flaws. His struggles were real and the situations he found himself in with his kids, with his bandmates, with his mixed bag of emotions all illustrated just how much he has endured and continues to deal with since his wife betrayed him and left their children without even looking back. Penelope is just the ‘nanny’ Trevor and his kids need, and while he won’t admit it out loud, at least not right away, she’s also just who Trevor needs in his life despite the current state of disarray in the Woods’ household. Penelope wanted a fresh start and a new adventure and that’s exactly what she gets in Seaside, Oregon, and while it’s a bit of a push and pull and hot and cold situation for quite some time, it’s beyond apparent just how well Penelope fits into Trevor’s world, even if it’s unlike where she’s from and where she ever thought she would be. The scenes that Trevor’s kids, Malcolm, Eric, and Bella were in, were my favorite; they did a fantastic job of keeping Trevor and Penelope on their toes but their actions and their attitudes clearly showed just how heartbroken they are over the mom’s abandonment and just how desperate they are for someone to put them first. I am absolutely loving this crossover collection. Each book is a swoon worthy and steamy read, and I can’t get enough of the amazing characters and the journeys the authors take them on! 4.5 Poison Apples

4.5 stars All Stars Fall by Rachel Van Dyken was just WOW..... from the moment I read this single dad blurb I was like heck yeah I want to read that, from the minute I read the opening line I was like OMG I do not want to put this book down. Penelope and Trevor's slow burn was so perfect for them. He is a Dad dealing with a life he never imagine and trying to navigate single fatherhood while still making music the music that feeds his soul and it an outlet for his emotions. The author rocks (no pun intended) Trevor's three young children, Bella, Eric and Malcolm. Each is dealing on their own terms with the departure of their mother, each has their own relationship with their father (some of the banter here is epic) and each bond with Penny, their new Nanny in their own way. I want to make sure to mention, it is very clear that Penelope and Trevor have an attraction one that is not about her caring for the children and "playing house." The connection between these to bleeds off the pages even as they try to resist it. The use of Trevor's bandmates as well done and added to the story as I felt it helped the reader understand him better. The ending of this book put my heart in throat, no not silly drama really deep emotions and compassion for three small humans. This book left me with a giant smile on my face as the epilogue had my heart happy and my face with a grin from ear to ear. Ps now I want to know more about Drew, Trevor's band-mate so I guess this Crossover did what it was meant to do expose me to a new series I now want to read!

For me, the best stories are the ones that reach out and grab your heart, and tap into your emotions and truly make you feel the words on the pages....and All Stars Fall DEFINITELY does just that! From the very first page this one drew me in, and had me completely enthralled with it's perfectly crafted words and charming characters. I am a sucker for single dad stories and this one was a winner on all fronts, Mr. Trevor Wood had me swooning at first glance, and handing over my heart by the second!! Highly recommend you meet these characters, their heartfelt story is sure to put a squeeze on your heart and leave you smiling!! I requested an advanced copy of this title and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

A sexy rocker, three adorable children and a beautiful barista/nanny come together in a story of love, hope and the chance of a brighter future for all. Penelope recognized him the moment he stepped through the door of the coffee shop where she worked. He was tall, dreamy and sexy and she thought she might faint. What were the chances that her teenage crush was here in Seaside, a place she had escaped to, so she could seek solace and start a new life? Well it was him: Trevor Wood, rock star drummer and from the looks of it a frazzled Dad, when she noticed his children. He certainly needed the black coffee he ordered to keep up with them Trevor looked at Penelope as if all of his wishes had been granted. He had been blessed with an angel who was sent to him to care for his children and add some normalcy to his life. He was caught up in her bubbly personality, carefree attitude and how she so quickly got along with his children. His prayers had been answered and he knew he had to offer Penelope the job as his Nanny. Did it matter that she was also gorgeous and made him feel alive for the first time in years? He was certain he could keep their relationship strictly professional. Penelope wasn’t as sure as Trevor but she took the job anyway. What could possibly happen? They had his children as chaperones, so everything would be fine. “All Stars Fall” is a emotional and positive book that I absolutely loved!! I was swept away by the deep feelings between Trevor and Penelope, both trying to find a way to make a better life for themselves. There connection was intense and romantic as well as thoughtful and sweet. This is the first book I have read in the Seaside Pictures series, and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the romantic stories.

Rachel, Rachel, Rachel you are amazing, as always!! I just love the Seaside crew. And you made them even better by bringing Trevor and Penelope together. Trevor, drummer and singer for the band Adrenaline is wondering what went wrong. He had it all, the band, a wife and three beautiful children. Then, the wife decided things were greener on the other side and left. He was lost, the kids were heartbroken; until Penny. Penelope trying to start over in Seaside never thought that she would be working and falling for one of her teen idols from the past. But the moment she laid eyes on the kids, she was hooked. And then of course their dad. I loved how she just swooped right in and brought happiness into their lives. One of my favorite sayings that Trevor said is: “and because when I look up at the stars, you remind me that no matter how secure they may look—they still fall. And sometimes in falling, you find forever.”

Trevor needs help with his kids and who better than the woman that he just met working at a coffee shop? When Penny left Montana for a fresh start this was way beyond what she was imagining. She fell in love with Trevor's kids, Bella, Eric and Malcom. I mean who wouldn't? Such sweet kids who made me laugh and made my heart hurt for them. Penny couldn't help it if her mouth dropped open when Trevor changed his shirt right in front of her. I mean come on ABS for days!!! Trevor is actually sweet, loves his kids with his whole heart and will do anything for them. He's doing the best that he can and he's such a sweetheart. With Penny making Trevor's life easier he starts to dream but he knows what happens when you dream...they blow up in your face. He doesn't want to dream but he's having a hard time keeping his thoughts to himself about Penny. What happens though if your dreams come true but you're worried to take it with both hands? Drew freaking cracked me up! Loved seeing the bands and Seaside again!!

All Stars Fall by Rachel Van Dyken is part of the Kristen Proby crossover collection. Each novella is a standalone book and they can be read in any order. Trevor is a rockstar. He’s been a rockstar practically his entire life. But his now ex-wife left, and he’s a single dad with three small children. And his little family is falling apart before his very eyes. He moves them to Seaside, Oregon to get away from the drama and paparazzi of Los Angeles. Penelope needed to stand on her own. She’s craving adventure...and craving finding herself and her purpose. So she packs up her belongings and moves to Seaside at the request of her cousin. Drawn to her ultimate teen crush, Trevor, and more importantly, his beautiful but sad children, she agrees to be the nanny for the summer. With chemistry that’s off the charts, can they make this work for real, or is this just a summer fling? It’s hard to go wrong with any book by Rachel Van Dyken, and this book was certainly no exception. Not only was this part of a crossover collection, but she also brought back the Seaside Pictures gang to boot! There are drama and sexy times, but there are also the humor and quirky dialog between characters that true RVD fans love so much. And yeah, I laughed out loud quite a few times! And honestly...Penelope gets to live the dream every teen girl with a pop star crush dreams of...having the hot, talented singer fall head over heels in love with her. For a quick, entertaining read that has heart, soul, and humor, you won’t be disappointed by All Stars Fall. NICUnurse’s Rating: I give All Stars Fall by Rachel Van Dyken 4.5 stars! I haven't read anything by Rachel Van Dyken and after this book I'm kicking myself because this book was filled with all the feels! I completely and wholly fell in love with Trevor and Penelope's story! How could you go wrong with one sexy single rockstar dad of three fiesty, lovable kids? You can't, just not possible. Trevor and Penelope were two lost souls looking for a fresh start, not expecting to find that start in one another. I can honestly say page after page I was charmed by the kids, entertained by the bandmates and breathless by the relationship that transpired with Trevor and Penelope. Let this story steal your heart like it's stolen mine!

I have never read any of the other books in the Seaside Pictures series by Van Dyken, but this was easy to get into. I didn't feel like I was lost because I didn't know any of the other characters from the Seaside but it has motivated me to go back at start reading the other books. It's a good transition from the books in the Big Sky crossover, although I was a little confused at the beginning as to how old our female character was.

All star read This book from the Kristen Proby Crossover Collection is so good that I have gone and purchased the other books from Rachel Van Dyken seaside pictures series. Trevor and Penny are so great and then bonus Bella, Eric and Malcolm. This read I could not put down it was so good. I rooted for Penny the whole time. I am now going to start reading the other books from this crossover series.

I think it's a sign of a great story when you finish a novella the same day you start it! It was great being back in Seaside and meeting new characters but also seeing how previous ones are doing. Although this book is short it packs a punch. I rather liked Penelope and her way with people, especially kids and Trevor's kids certainly make an impression. Trevor is the drummer and a single dad. Need I say more??? Lol. What starts out as Penelope working for him as the nanny, things definitely get interesting. Suffice it to say the caring family moments are beautiful and the whole story tugged at my heart. Such a great story and I certainly hope there's more on the horizon!! This is the only story I have read in the crossover collection and I can't wait to read more!
