Simple text, beautiful pictures explore the body-mind-spirit connection. The text is not specific to one religion, but includes prayer and connection with the universe and the eternal. "Your body is just a little part of the light that shines within your heart." A vague "spirituality" designed to offend nobody, but doesn't inspire me.

The illustrations were wonderful in this book. It is the story of a little boy who speaks to the sun and sister star and discovers that the energy in everything is part of him which means that everything he sees is part of him too. This is a great book to explain a truly hard concept to grasp. I know some adults that would benefit from me sharing this book with them since they still don't truly understand what I believe and this book does a fabulous job of explaining it.

I bought this book to teach my child about love for himself and others without pressuring him into any particular belief. He loves it. We enjoy reading it together and coming up with stories about how we can helpe one another here in earth. It teaches a child to love everyone and everything from nature to people to animals. It is beautifully written and your child will learn the lesson of love and good self esteem.
