What a wonderful Devotional for young women. Really I am not that young but I am enjoying it. Adored is a 365 devotional for young women, hitting on topics they are going through like bullying, social media and dating to name a few. Each day there is a devotion and scripture verse that pertains to it. Nice at the end is a place so you can journal your thoughts. We all are precious in God's sight. He adores us. Perfect gift for someone you might know that is going through some growing up issues. Give a gift of love. Let them find God in their heart.
This is a beautiful devotional for young women. With 365 different devotions, they can use it all year. Perfect for a before or during breakfast devotion to start the day with, it gives you a verse and a short thought about it. It includes lines to write on, just in case you think of something to write about regarding the devotion. There is no prayer or application, but there are things to consider each day. This is a minute or two with God type devotional for those in a huge rush but who still want to spend time with God. This is not a devotional where you delve deep into study to uncover unknown truths and grow as a believer. However, this is perfect for college women and young working women who are in a rush to get ready for class and work and are inhaling their daily devotions along with a cup of hot coffee or high caffeine breakfast tea to get themselves jump-started. This would be a good gift idea for a late teen or early twenty year old woman in your life. Along with a good writing pen, this might encourage her to start her day with God in the new year. I got a copy free. All opinions are my own.
Devotionals, books that aid us in our daily walk with God. Many have been written through the years, touching tough topics and encouraging the discouraged. In this new devotional, Lindsay Franklin touches the tough topics that affect young women today; a devotional that reinforces how much they are loved by God. Pain, heartache, social requirements for beauty, social media, cyber bullying - just a few of the things that affect young people today. Young women can get drawn in to a world they never imagined due to trying to fit in with the "in" crowd. Peer pressure can make it almost impossible to resist. But in this new devotional, young women will find that they can be armed with God's Word and a short, relevant reading that puts everything into perspective. Nothing takes the place of reading the Bible, but devotionals like this add personal perspective to the reading. I like this devotional, and think it will make a great gift for several young women I know. I like that there is a verse with a short devotional, and then there is a space for journaling thoughts. That really helps make the lesson of the day stick and become real. I recommend it to anyone with young women in your life. It is well worth sharing!
