This is a combination of all past characters as we are given insights and updates into their lives. Everyone comes to visit and celebrate in the Christmas season. Poor Victoria is stressed and her pregnancy has been going on too long, Lol. Filler with love, humor, fighting, sex, and a wonderful surprise gift, gave me so many feels. Another great read in the Darkness series. I do hope that the next book might be about a certain ancient dragon and a bear hybrid? Lol. 5 Wolf Shifter, Vampire, Demon, Demigod, Dragon, Hybrid and Human loving stars!!!!

"Are we going to have a Christmas baby after all..?" A Very Dragon Christmas by Katie Reus is a holiday-themed novella-length story in her Darkness series. Katie’s books generally work well as stand-alones; however, that does not hold true for A Very Dragon Christmas. Since her Darkness series is so popular, she wrote this entry as a holiday treat for her readers who crave more of their favorite characters. If you have not read the previous books, do yourself a favor and skip this tale until you’ve caught up with the series. If you are among her legions of Darkness fans, A Very Dragon Christmas is your Christmas dream come true as previous characters are revisited and a few new ones are introduced. The birth of Drake’s and Victoria’s first wolf-dragon hybrid child is imminent. As Christmas approaches, the dragons are gathering and making celebratory plans. Victoria, though, is cranky and miserable in her thirteenth month of pregnancy – the “longest pregnancy ever” - with no sign that her precious cargo is preparing to make his or her grand entrance. To add to her stress, Victoria senses that Drake is hiding something from her. In addition, Arya, her domineering mother-in-law, is over-protective, continually hovering and not affording Victoria a moment of peace. Something has to give! A Very Dragon Christmas is told from multiple points-of-view. It’s sweet, emotional and romantic, but not steamy. There’s a bit of drama and suspense for good measure. You can expect plenty of humorous moments throughout as it exhibits all the Christmas feels from whacky decorations to ridiculously ugly Christmas sweaters. Following please find a few of my favorite lines from A Very Dragon Christmas: “Dragon females were the deadliest warriors, after all. --- Every house on the street had some sort of decorations, including one house with a life-sized Santa on the roof being led by blow-up dragons instead of reindeer. --- “I know what might make me feel better,” she said, smiling as he let out a low rumble in his throat, his dragon peeking out in his gaze, telling her he wanted to play too. Drake cupped the side of her face gently, stroking a thumb over her cheek. “Aren’t you supposed to meet my mom and aunts for dinner?” She lifted a shoulder, the sheet rustling slightly under the movement. “I can be a little bit late.” Laughing lightly, he leaned forward and pressed his lips over hers for a far too short kiss. “If we start something now, you won’t be just a little late. You won’t make it at all.” I love this series - so diving into this novella was a truly blissful way to spend a few hours. For anyone who has read and enjoyed the Darkness Series, A Very Dragon Christmas will make a great holiday read!

I love Drake and Victoria. This is a great look at family and friends and being there for one another. Also, you never know what's going to happen when Arya and the twins get together.

The perfect gift of dragons! What a fabulous visit with the Petronilla clan and Darkness series crew! Victoria and Drake are awaiting the birth of their son, the first wolf-dragon hybrid. Anxious family members are driving Victoria nuts with their overprotective nature, friends are in town for the holidays and the birth, and thus nonstop laughter ensues. I’m excited to see what comes next in this series with Gabriel and Vega’s adventure, and the new wolf alphas. The Darkness series is one of my favorites. If you are a fan of the series, A Very Dragon Christmas is a must read (not meant to be read as a stand-alone)! *ARC received in exchange for an honest review.

~ 3.5 stars ~ Super fun and cute novella. Everything I wanted to know about some of my favorite characters were somehow put together in just a few pages and it worked perfectly! I loved the interactions of everyone, especially the 3 powerful dragon female shifters. I wouldn't recommend it reading it if you haven't read the rest of the series but if you have this is like a complementary story if you want to keep updated on some pretty awesome, sexy shifters. *I volunteered to read and received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review. This is my honest opinion and is no way influenced by the author or publisher.*

Review: I am not going to give away a lot in this review because this is a very short, quick read. I will say that if you have read this series, it is a perfect little present to catch up on some favorite characters. That being said, if you have not read the series yet, this is not the story to start with. I recommend starting with the beginning of the series and reading forward each story is short in length and would take no time to catch up before reading this. If you have read this Author before, you will not be disappointed as this like her other works are well-written, sexy and very engaging. 5Stars *I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book provided by the Author.*

I enjoyed this holiday novella. It gave me a chance to catch up with my favorite supernatural beings. Finally after an abnormally long pregnancy I get to be there as Victoria and Drake become parents. It was so much fun to see the clans gathered for Christmas. What a family get together. I had to smile as I enjoyed this groups over the top interaction. Katie Reus wrote a satisfying story. It was filled with romance, love and a taste of future adventures. I can't wait to see what happens next.

A VERY DRAGON CHRISTMAS By Katie Reus I love this! When we have a novella of past characters it is just like a visit with old friends. The Dragon shifters are my favorite of the shifters. This book brings us Christmas coming and Victoria and Drake while they are waiting the birth of their baby. We have friends and family coming in and out for the holiday and birth. This was a very sweet story.

Great addition to the Darkness series and a lovely holiday read. The characters are intense and have wonderful family bonds. This author always brings us a remarkable story and this book was no exception. Loved it very much. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book; all opinions expressed are my own.

I was beyond excited when I heard we were getting more Darkness. I love this series by this author. And then for it to be a holiday celebration of sorts is just the icing on the cake. Usually, easygoing/ and loving Victoria is not quite herself, she is tired of being pregnant, everyone and everything annoys her. And add to it all? Everyone is coming to celebrate, so she has to deal with those who haven't seen her in quite awhile. What does this typically level-headed female do? She runs away... All dragons on deck, and maybe a few more matings in the future? Grab your copy if you love this series it's a don't miss.

I so enjoyed this novella set in the Darkness world. Although the focus is on Victoria's pending delivery, the readers get to catch up on past couples, present singles, and potential pairings. With a baby on the way, we see how this affects many of the other characters and how much they have grown since their own individual books. For those characters who have not found their "one" or "ones????", we get to catch up with what is going on in their lives as well. A really good transition between full length novels. ARC received for honest review.

I loved this little something special this author created for her fans of the Darkness series! As Christmas is approaching, Victoria is miserable in her thirteenth month of pregnancy. Many friends and family members are gathering to help celebrate the holiday as well as hoping she will soon give birth. However, her mate is hiding something from her which is adding to her already cranky mood. Fortunately the clan healer forces everyone to stay away so she can rest and take some time out just for herself and her mate. As everyone comes together we are given a look into what these characters are currently up to or will possibly soon be embroiled with. I loved seeing all the alpha protectiveness of the heroes as well as the snarky, fun and engaging strength of the heroines that I’ve loved throughout this series. This was like one amazing epilogue to their stories as well as a bit of a lead in to hopefully new stories in the future. For anyone who has read and enjoyed the Darkness Series, this will make a great holiday read! I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The holiday season birth of a wolf/dragon hybrid… This is book 8.5 in the Darkness series, the length that of a short novella, not a stand-alone. The wolf shifter Victoria, mated to the dragon shifter Drake of the Petronilla clan, is thirteen months pregnant and anxious to give birth, her emotions are all over the place. She’s frustrated with the length of this pregnancy which is not unusual for a hybrid childbirth. She’s suffocated by family members who mean no harm, they’re just overly protective as is her mate. It gets so bad the alpha bans everyone but those necessary from their house. Will the child be born in time for Christmas? This was a cute, quick, read for followers of the series, there are updates on numerous characters during the holiday season. An advanced reading copy was obtained from the author. 3.5 stars

What a fun catch up with all the dragons in this series. I love these kind of stories that touches base with all the various characters we've come to care about through this series. It also futhers several story threads running throughout this series and gives us hints to things to come. And we have the dramatic entrance of Victoria & Drake's child. Thank you Katie for allowing me on your street team so I could review this story for you.

A VERY DRAGON CHRISTMAS is a holiday novella in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult DARKNESS paranormal, romance series. Told from several third person perspectives A VERY DRAGON CHRISTMAS follows numerous paths including the impending birth of Victoria (wolf shifter) and Drake (dragon shifter) Petronilla’s (Taste of Darkness #2) first child. Nearing the end of her fifteen month pregnancy Victoria’s in-laws hover too closely pushing a frustrated Drake to ban his family from upsetting his mate. As the days grow closer to Christmas Victoria’s hormones taking over as she expects another billion months on her back before giving birth. As the supernatural community prepare for the holidays, Victoria and Drake face an uphill battle with the birth of their child. Katie Reus brings a bit of holiday magic to the Dragons of the Petronilla Clan. We get a quick glimpse into the lives of the couples we have previously met, and the potential for a few more relationships on the horizon. A gathering for Christmas, as they await the birth of Victoria and Drake’s child, the shifter, vampires, demi-gods and demons celebrate the holidays, one relationship at a time. A sweet and endearing story line Katie Reus adds another entertaining instalment in the world of the Darkness.

LOVED IT!!!! This novella is one all readers of this series will enjoy. I would definitely recommend it after reading the previous books in the series. This short read is one full of family and friends during the Christmas holiday. It had all of my favorite characters from the previous books and I was so happy to read more of Bo and Nyx's family. They were definitely one of my favorites from the previous books. However, I also love Victoria and Drake. This read was one of sweet surprises, steamy scenes, a bit of drama, love, friendships, mates and it ended before I was ready for it to end. I can't wait to read more.
