Robert Alfred John Walling (1869–1949) was a British journalist and author of detective novels. After starting, writing for, and editing multiple newspapers, Walling wrote more than thirty mysteries, including A Corpse by Any Other Name, Murder at Midnight, and A Corpse Without a Clue, as well as nonfiction works such as George Borrow: The Man and His Work (19080 and The Corpse with the Floating Foot (1936).
