Overview

THE MAN. THE MYTH. THE MYSTERY.

Ike is just a monk who loves his remote cabin in the woods. He hasn't had any visitors in six years and likes it that way. He's also a wise-cracking prophet blessed with supernatural gifts and in possession of one of the most powerful weapons of his time — the Misericorde.

One stormy night a woman shows up at his door with a wounded child across her fore-arms. The child is a princess of an alien race hated on his planet and is strangely gifted in a way similar to Ike himself. Ike is aware of who the woman is too, though she herself does not know it yet.

The young prophet can sense his destiny will take a dramatic new direction if he chooses to help the two, but as usual, his heart won't let him say no. Soon enough, his decision will drag him back out into the public eye again, where he never can seem to stay anonymous, hard as he tries... A PROPHET NAMED IKE

Filled with a broad cast of delightful characters who are part of Ike's life, along with a beautiful demonstration of love displayed throughout its contents, Ike's fantasy and spiritual adventures take us to the far reaches of the galaxy and back again.

About the Author

Evelyn Exley knew from girlhood that she wanted to write. She practiced, she read, she imagined; she wrote for any magazine that would take her work. Still, she wasn't satisfied. Her words fell flat. For the next twenty-five years, she learned instead to live, to love, and to forgive. She even learned a little sword play and martial arts. Suddenly, wouldn't you know, she wasn't so disappointed in the words that flowed from her pen.

Evelyn and her husband reside in the Southeastern United States in a musical house, where conversation is often full of talk about real-life legends, myths, and other fairy tales.
