This is a alphabet book with panache for all little foodies-to-be. It introduces us to the alphabet using some not so ordinary food or food related items…like dulse, farro, and xigua. Can be read using strictly the letter (i.e.: S is for Sauerkraut) or additionally read the one line definition (Sauerkraut is salted, fermented cabbage) or when the reader is ready for more, there is a short paragraph offering little tidbits of each item. Even I learned a few things! Super cute and bright anthropomorphized characters on sturdy pages of a board book that is constructed to last.
