A DREAM OF MORTALS is Book #15 in the Bestselling series THE SORCERER'S RING, which begins with A QUEST OF HEROES (book #1)—a free download!

In A DREAM OF MORTALS, Thorgrin and his brothers struggle to break free from the grips of the pirates, and to continue their search for Guwayne at sea. As they encounter unexpected friends and foes, magic and weaponry, dragons and men, it will change the very course of their destiny. Will they finally find Guwayne?

Darius and his few friends survive the massacre of their people—but only to find that they are captives, thrown into the Empire Arena. Shackled together, facing unimaginable opponents, their only hope for survival is to stand and fight together, as brothers.

Gwendolyn wakes from her slumber to discover that she and the others have survived their trek across the Great Waste—and even more shocking, that they have come to a land beyond their wildest imagination. As they are brought into a new royal court, the secrets Gwendolyn learns about her ancestors and her own people will change her destiny forever.

Erec and Alistair, still captive at sea, struggle to break free from the grips of the Empire fleet in a bold and daring nighttime escape. When odds seem at their worst, they receive an unexpected surprise that might just give them a second chance for victory—and another chance to continue their attack on the heart of the Empire.

Godfrey and his crew, imprisoned once again, set to be executed, have one last chance to try to escape. After being betrayed, they want more than escape this time—they want vengeance.

Volusia is surrounded on all sides as she strives to take and hold the Empire capital—and she will have to summon a more powerful magic than she’s ever known if she is to prove herself a Goddess, and become Supreme Ruler of the Empire. Once again, the fate of the Empire hangs in the balance.

With its sophisticated world-building and characterization, A DREAM OF MORTALS is an epic tale of friends and lovers, of rivals and suitors, of knights and dragons, of intrigues and political machinations, of coming of age, of broken hearts, of deception, ambition and betrayal. It is a tale of honor and courage, of fate and destiny, of sorcery. It is a fantasy that brings us into a world we will never forget, and which will appeal to all ages and genders.

The series should have ended with the death of Andronicus and the defeat of the Empire's army. The wall restored and Thorgin and Gwenjointly rulling a peaceful kingdom. Now it's just ridiculous and being milked for every cent that can be wrung from the story line.

This series is getting ridiculous. It started off great. Loved the story. It should have ended three books ago. Thor rarely uses his powers or becomes drained after hardly using them. Volusia as a human catapult, please! The Empire warriors were backed up at the gates because of the Voks causing the ground to open up. Now when Volusia gets shot over there is hardly anyone on guard? Would have rated this series 5 stars after 10 books, now only 2.

I really hate having to trash a book or series. I have read all 17 books in this series. I only finished because I don’t start a book or series without finishing. I have never read a book with so many story holes in it, conflicting information, good/evil turnarounds, and the incredible amount of “plagiarized” themes. Every science fiction, drama, mystery, fantasy theme from the myriad of books I have previously read were thinly veiled in this series. I literally got sick of reading it and could not wait to finish so I could PERMANENTLY delete it from my Nook. I would NEVER consider re-reading this trash. Lastly, there are hundreds of misspelled and misused words throughout the series, terrible.

In the latter books, chapters actually, the author loses control of her characters, sense of time, and evidently did no research on size of armies and how they maneuver. Definitely not a Mercedes Lackey.

Only on page 37 and I can already tell the editor never read this book. If the editor did read it, he or she needs to be fired. I have already found 5 grammatical errors, completely unacceptable for a professional editor. Otherwise the book s a good read so far.

I have enjoyed the series up until the 15th book and my feelings are matched by those who think the story should have ended with the death of Andronicus. Unfortunately it didn't. I was ready for the book to end with number 15, and when it didn't I was almost disappointed. I do hope that numberr 16 is the end! Please, It has got to end!!

I really enjoy Morgan Rice's books, and this one was no different. She keeps me drawn into the story and wanting more. I know there are some typos and grammar issues, but I rarely notice them because I'm so caught up in the story. This series has a lot of characters that are interesting, and while I'm reading about one, I'm wondering what is happening with the others. If you like intrigue, magic, battles, strange creatures, dragons, and a story line that keeps you wanting more, then I recommend reading this series.

The reading is too short for the amount of money spent for the book. I also hope book 15 is the last in the series, simply because I am not able to pay so much for so little. I really do like the series, Morgan Rice has a definite ability  To keep your interest piqued. I'm HOOKED.

I really do like this series, but it is becoming rather tedious and you do wonder if there will be any resolution. At this point it really seems Thor and Gwen should throw in the towel and move on since they apparent

Forging of wills… “A dream of Mortals”, the “good” find new allies and loyal bonds are strengthened. The new allies, from the lost land, have that feeling of “Déjà vu”, should be highly interesting to see how this all unfolds. The empire is in dis-array, Volusia managed to “cut off the head” but can she defeat the seven legs, the true power behind the head of the empire? Can she become a true “Goddess” of the Empire? Ragon see nothing but total darkness, a prelude of things to come. I look forward to the next book!!
