Author Rosalind Abbott has shared with her readers a personal experience of her own childhood. Her purpose in writing this book was to help those in similar situations get through them in a happy and positive way. The author has achieved her goal with a well-written, easily understood text, combined with brightly colored illustrations, to excite and keep the attention of a young reader.
