## I enjoyed this book a whole lot. The plot was great, and the writing superb as we've come to expect from Bella Andre. Both hero and heroine were likeable characters. I loved their instant connection. The only thing I didn't like and the sole reason I deducted a star was this: Albeit sweet and likeable, I found Cordelia to be weak. First, she begs the hero for sex. Twice. Gah! After he explains that he doesn't "do" relationships, she gives in too easily every time the hero would want "just one more time" with her. She was just available to him whenever he wanted her. After, he would put her in the friend zone, then go back for another round in a week. She needed to say NO MORE or better yet she should've gone out on a couple of dates to make her seem like less of a....I don't want to say doormat, because Alec was never cruel, but I can't think of a better word. It's off putting to me when the woman has to beg a man. However, that's just my opinion and I will continue to read and re-read all of Bella's books.

Cordelia has lost a birth father she never knew. Alec has lost a business partner and substitute father. Since Cordelia has inherited half the business, Alec has asked to see her so he can purchase her half. But once they meet Alec only wants to help her. Bella has written another fantastic Sullivan book. Sullivan's are a large family that always are there for each other but Alec has shut them out for so many years. Will Cordelia help Alec open that door? Couldn't put the book down. Can't wait for the next one. joy943

Another "poor me, I'm no good for the girl", book. Bella Andre books are usually pretty terrific, but Alec took a whole book to get his crap together and Cordelia was kind of a doormat.

In "You Do Something To Me", Alec Sullivan, as the oldest of the New York Sullivans, finally gets his story when he falls in love with small town garden shop owner, Cordelia Langley. I think it is one of the best Sullivan series stories written by Bella Andre. The story is sweet, well written, with details that bring it to life. Each book is a standalone, and as a follower of the series, they are written in such a beautiful way that the reader is given a feeling of family. The blurb gives you the premise of the story, so I will just say, this is one I highly recommend. I would like to thank the author and her team for gifting me with "You Do Something To Me". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 5 Stars!

With each new book in the Sullivan family series, I seem to fall in love with the hero each and every time. We had met Alec in the other books and he always seemed a bit harder than the other members of his family, so imagine my surprise when I not only fell in love with him, but he became one of my most favorite characters in the series to date. Cordelia and Alec are as opposite as opposites can be at first glance. Alec is a partner in a billion dollar aviation business and Cordelia is happily running her little nursery in a small town. She wants nothing to do with the business she is inheriting from the birth father she never met. I loved that Alec was all ready to be all business about offering a buy out package until he saw Cordelia the first time. I have to say I adored the instant connection between Alec and Cordelia. I felt like they each just understood each other on a level no one else ever had. Add in the smoking hot chemistry between them, and I fell so hard for them as a couple. Each of the New York Sullivan children have every right to have issues with their father, and I so understood Alec being less inclined to be ready to forgive and have his father be a main part of his life. I think because of the time he spent with Cordelia and seeing her be open to forgiving her birth father, it helped put him on the path to forgiving his father. I really did love everything about You Do Something to Me. It was filled with love, passion, laughter, and tears. I love a book that makes me feel so many emotions at once, and Bella Andre is a master of emotion. I highly recommend not only this book but all the books in the Sullivan Family series. A tender, sweet and sexy romance. Cordelia is so pure, open and honest, while Alec is jaded and cynical and has closed himself off from everyone, but they end up helping each other through a difficult time and support one another no matter what. A great story of friendship, family, loyalty and love. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book.

I have loved all the Sullivan books and You Do Something to Me is no exception. This story begins when Alec Sullivan’s business partner (and father figure) passes away and leaves his half of the business to a daughter he gave up for adoption years ago. Cordelia knows she is adopted, but is unaware of her birth father. Alec and Cordelia first meet when Cordelia finds out about her inheritance. The sparks start to fly and don’t stop even though both characters attempt to fight them. Bella Andre, once again, weaved a great love story with humor, drama, and lots of romance. I love how she tells a love story and connects her readers to the characters. I still can’t believe this is the 17th Sullivan book I have read. Bella Andre makes it feel like each one is a new book. I HIGHLY recommend this story.

"You Do Something To Me" (The New York Sullivans Book 3/The Sullivans Book 17) by Bella Andre is a fantastic read. I loved Alec and Cordelia's story. This is a wonderful addition to The Sullivans Series. I just can't pick a favorite Sullivan. I love them all. I can't wait to see what happens next with this wonderful family. Highly recommend to all fans of romance, family, entertaining characters, and series.

Once again, the Queen of romance brings us another sweet, hot, romantic tic installment in the Sullivan Family series. A large, successful family that isn't as together as they seem, but are all there to fight for each other in the end. The story of Alec and Cordele a is one of her BEST so far and believe me, that is saying a lot because they have ALL been FANTASTIC! Glad we still have some Sullivan's left!

Knocked this one out of the park! Once again Bella Andre has a winner! This book is sweet, and so full I've love and emotion. Even when Alec is being frustrating about his rift with his father, you can't be really mad at him because his pain is so obvious. The way he and Cordelia supported each other, the way she stood by Alec with such love and patience was heartwarming. This writer has such a rare talent for being able to evoke such strong emotions from her readers. She does it consistently. I have read a number of books that could be labeled good, but it is rare to read a book that lingers long after you read the last word. I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advanced Reader Copy.

Nothing Better Than A Bella Andre Book!! I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, You Do Something To Me by Bella Andre. Getting a Bella Andre ARC is like Christmas, payday, your birthday and your anniversary all rolled into one. Yeah, that great!!! You Do Something To Me is definitely one of Bella’s best ever written books. Alec just lost his business partner and if that isn’t bad enough, he is thrown for a major loop when he learns that Gordon had a daughter no one knew about and he left everything to her. Cordelia is shocked to learn that her birth father, that she knew nothing about, left her everything in his will. They each have a lot they are dealing with but just maybe they can get through it together.

ARC for honest review with no compensation You Do Something to Me is Book 3 of the New York Sullivans and Bella has written another awesome book about life, heartbreak, finding yourself, laughter, tears, and most of all love. Until one evening Gordon has a fatal heart attack and the only word he uttered is Cordelia…a secret Gordon has been keeping for years. This author’s classy book covers won me over years ago, folks. Her writing keeps me coming back for more of this now “17” book series. Well, “20” would be more accurate since there are novellas included as .5 books, as well. Yes, that is not a typo. Though it has branched off into the New York and Seattle Sullivans, my heart will always remain in San Francisco, where this series all got started. Having read a total of “14” so far, and recently acquired two more, I’m closer than ever to closing in on all the sweet, smexy stories of each of these stand-alone but still somewhat connected romantic tales. You Do Something to Me certainly fit a similar pattern to some of my favorites. A tough on the outside business tycoon but afraid to love/let anyone in on the inside hero and a caring, patient beautiful heroine who sees right through him and captures his reluctant heart. Sure, you see this theme quite often in this series, but it never gets old with me. Cordelia is carrying around baggage of her own, folks. But she is grateful for the parents who raised her and the simplistic yet successful life she has made for herself. She struggles at first to come to terms with a big reveal and family fortune she recently inherited. Make no mistake though, it does not change the sweet, loyal, compassionate, down to earth girl she has always been. Some may feel she was overly so with Alec at times. I have to admit a time or two I “REALLY” wanted her to say “no” to his kisses and send a clear message he needed to work for the privilege of knowing/being intimate with her. Especially since they had only known each other for a very short time before things heated up between them. In fact, I wish she would have held out longer, so he would have spent more time trying to pursue her. She always gave in rather easily to his advances and up-front, constant insistence he never wanted to marry/have a real relationship. She simply accepted him as he was and seemed resigned to losing him one day. There were times when she was the one who made the first move, however. Alec had a history of having no shortage of money hungry/attention seeking women pounding on his door begging to be his temporary fling. Cordelia was more of a long term relationship girl and wanted some day to be married with children. The ending was sweet and not overly dramatic, my fellow romance booking loving friends. As a lover of hair pulling emotional angst, I will confess to being partial to a heart pounding “Oh, no! Where did she go? I have to go after her right now!”...”What have I done?”... “Is she going to live, so I can tell her I love her?” type ending. Others may feel the smooth transition into a HEA fit the pace of the overall storyline. Regardless, I’m happy I now have another Sullivan love story under my belt. You can feel the same, folks. Though a series, you can jump in anywhere. You’ll miss out a little on character development, but each book stays focused on one main couple and family background snippets are usually included so you won’t feel completely left out in the cold. Title: You Do Something to Me, Series: The New York Sullivans (Book 3)/The Sullivans (Book 17), Author, Bella Andre, Pages: 225, stand-alone, afraid to love hero, caring/patient heroine, very length/numerous/steamy scenes, daddy issues, brief cameos of other book characters, HEA, no cheating, no love triangle, no OM/OW drama. (I received a NetGalley ARC in exchange for a fair review.)

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest! This was a very emotional book. On the surface, Alec looked like he had it all, but he carried scars on the inside. Since his mother's death, his father completely checked out of his children's life. Since a young age, Alec has to take care of his siblings. All the responsibility for the family felt on his shoulders. He still had not forgiven his father for that. Cordelia had loving parents, but she still feel hurt by her biological father's indifference. When her biological father dies, he leaves his fortune to Cordelia. She wants nothing to do w/ anything from him. She wouldn't even know what to do w/ this fortune. When Alec + Cordelia meet, they are dealing w/ their own demons. As they get to know each other, they form a relationship. Each other is afraid to let the other know how they really feel. It takes a near tragedy for them to put all their cards on the table. Very emotional book!
