Donna Grant is my favorite author, and she doesn’t disappoint with this one. Loved Bernadette and Keltan together! Keltan didn’t want a mate, but could not stay away from the alluring Bernadette. Action, romance, suspense, couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait for the next book!

Another amazing paranormal romance by Donna Grant Donna Grant hasn’t lost her touch! She has done it again with her new series Chiasson! I have just finished reading her new novella WILD FEVER and I found a captivating paranormal as I like them! This one is a great introduction to her series. Her story is set in the Louisiana bayou with the Chiasson brothers Vincent, the eldest, Lincoln, Beau and Christian. Their duty is to protect the parish and protect them from the evil things lurking in the bayou. The moment, Vincent had met the beautiful Olivia Breaux; he fell in love with her. She leaves the big city to return home in Crowley where she meets again Vincent. Sparks flare between the two and ignite a strong passion. Donna Grant is a very talented writer of paranormal fiction and she never disappoints me. Looking forward to her next book WILD DREAM in the same series and THE CRAVING of her other new series Rogues of Scotland! I strongly recommend this book if you love paranormal.

NUMBER OF HEARTS: 4 REVIEW:  Ahhh just like any good novella Wild Fever was short and sweet and left me wanting more. This was a good start to Donna Grants’ new novella series. In Wild Fever we meet 4 brothers who are carrying on the family tradition of hunting the monsters that kill humans. Vincent is the oldest and has seen more of what these monsters can do than his brothers, which is part of the reason for sending his sister away. Vincent’s job is to keep everyone he loves safe.  But when the monsters they hunt start going after people the Chaisson’s care about Vincent is convinced that someone is out to get them. It is not until Olivia comes home that he truly understands the depth of the monsters that they hunt.  I really enjoyed this story, even if it left me wanting more. Donna did an excellent job of making this novella feel like a full length story. Nothing felt overly rushed and gave us a good idea of the history of the Chiasson family. I am very much looking forward to the next 4 books in this series.  Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary copy of the book from Donna Grant in exchange for an honest review. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review.

This was a good fast paranormal read. The Chiasson brothers are some seriously hot Bayou men. The chemistry between Vincent and Olivia is off the charts my only regret is it ended all to soon. This is the first book I've read about Voodoo and swamp monsters. I want more! Thank you so much Donna for the opportunity to read this book. Great intriguing snippet for THE CRAVING at the end I can't wait to read the rest

3 1/2 stars. Good story. Tamer than I normally read but I enjoy Ms. Grants writing style.

67 pages not 130 as the review states. 3.00 is to much for an incomplete book.

Wild Fever is the first book in Donna Grant's New Chiasson Series, It is a quick read which I like. There was a little bit of everything... Mystery Monster, Hoodoo, Small town Bayou's and Cajun hotties. Small Towns have secrets and Vincent and his brothers need to find out who/what is behind the killing of 3 girls and take care of it. As they are the local cajun monster/demon hunters.  Olivia hasn't been home for almost 10 years and she is leaving Dallas for reasons she wants to keep quiet. Vincent has always watched out for Olivia and is dealing with his own issues. Can these two over come their issues and have their HEA?  As you all know I hate posting spoilers... I really liked this new series from Donna Grant, it is something different from her and I can't wait to see where it goes. The only issue I had is that I wanted it to be longer and this story only takes place in a span of 3 days. Overall I will be buying the second in the series when it comes out as I want to know more about the Chiasson family and found it an enjoyable read.

Olivia Breaux couldn't wait to leave her Cajun home town of Lyons Point but circumstances have her running back years later and her past confronts her in the delectable form of Vincent Chiasson. Vincent's family has been tasked with keeping their hometown safe from the monsters that most people don't acknowledge exist. Vincent has intrigued her since she was young but he never knew she existed, now their presents collide and he must fight to save her from a monster who is hunting down any woman with a tie to their family. Donna never fails to capture my attention and this book was no different. This series has a different feel to it than her Dark Sword series and the consequent spin-offs. Everything I have came to love from Donna's books was present though, vivid imagery that allowed you to lose yourself in the story, engaging characters and sexy heroes. I will definitely enjoy getting to know the rest of the Chiasson family better in the subsequent novellas.

Wild Fever is the start of a new series from Donna Grant. It was a great novella that will leave you wanting more! I was hooked on Wild Fever from the very first page! Donna Grant delivers an amazing paranormal romance that is full of action, unknown creatures and love. Wild Fever is set in Crowley, Louisiana in the bayou where the Chiasson brothers follow in their ancestors footsteps to protect the people of their parish. Olivia is a beautiful woman who left her small town to chase her dreams in the big city but finds herself down on her luck and has to return to her hometown and her grandmother. Vincent is the oldest Chiasson brother and takes it upon himself to protect and lead his brothers in hunting the creatures of the bayou. Vincent had always been head over heels for Olivia, but upon her return it hit him full force. The connection between Vincent and Olivia was instant and you could almost feel the heat that was trying to explode from the pages. As always, Donna's writing is amazing! You feel as if you are apart of her characters. As you read, it is as if a movie unfolds in your mind. She is able to describe all of the emotions and settings of her characters so well. I cannot wait for the next book in the Chiasson series! Thank you for a great book Donna!!

Olivia Breaux never thought she would ever return to Lyons Point. A scandal at work forced her to leave Dallas and return to the small Cajun parish she grew up in to re-piece the shambles of her life. One of the few perks of returning home is seeing Vincent Chiasson again. Vincent Chiasson comes from a long line of supernatural hunters. Hunting these supernatural beasts is a family tradition, one he and his siblings were born into. The pay for protecting Lyons Point is dismal earning the family to be ostracized by the public and feared.  The first thing I noticed about this book was the change of voice. WILD FEVER had an entirely different feel to it than the author’s DARK SWORD, DARK WARRIORS and DARK KING series but in no way less compelling. I believe the change in voice was necessary for this entire new world. Another thing I noticed quickly was the book did not drag or slow down as the intricacies of the world was explained like most first books in series do. Which was nice and refreshing. It made getting into the book easier. As cliché as it sounds I was literally riveted from the moment I started reading. In less than three hours, I was already seventy-two percent done with the book. And it was ‘hard’ to put the book down to go to bed. This book was quite a wonderful change of pace from hunky Scottish Highlanders I know and love from Donna Grant. Drool worthy Cajuns, another weakness I have in the book world.  What I liked about the story was the characterizations. The Chiasson family was a neat idea. A family bred to hunt supernatural beings but the job is not all glamorous. And they wish at times to be burn to different family. I also liked the mystery of Maria, Olivia's grandmother. I got the feelnig there is more ot the old woman than meets the eye. I hope the further books delve more into her secets and the Chiasson's. I cannot wait to meet the missing Chiasson (Riley) in further books.

I was given an ARC of this book from the author for an honest review. Olivia Breaux grew up in the town of Lyon's Point. While growing up she heard rumors of the Chiasson family. They were always feared but respected. Olivia always wanted the oldest of the Chiasson brothers, Vincent to notice her, but he never seemed to pay her any attention. Olivia felt as many teenagers growing up in a small towns, she wants to see what the big city has to offer. Olivia spends ten years in Dallas, thinking she has it all until someone she thought she could trust betrays her. When she comes back to the bayou, she never dreams the very thing she tried to escape may bring her a lifetime of happiness. Vincent Chiasson and his brothers spend their lives hunting the creatures of the bayou. Vincent was born into this lifestyle and is haunted by the memories of his parents deaths at the very hands of one of the creatures. He vows he will never allow himself to care about another person. He cannot go thru losing someone he loves. His work is too dangerous. He remembers the anguished cry of his father as he witnessed the creatures killing his mother. Although Vincent has always cared about Olivia, he will not allow his guard down when he hears she has returned to town. That is until he realizes a very dangerous creature is lurking in the bayou out to destroy everyone that has any contact with the Chiasson family. One night makes Vincent realize he will protect Olivia at all costs. Donna Grant has begun a new series taking place in the bayou of Louisiana. As usual Donna doesn't disappoint her readers. You experience the Cajun lifestyle in the bayou full of scary creatures in the night, voodoo and magic. I knew before I started this book it was a novella, and if anything that was my only complaint. I wanted it to be longer. I wanted to know more history of the Chiasson family. I know there are more books to come and I can't wait to hear more about this family. I can't wait to meet Riley the sister of the Chiasson brothers. I predict her to come back as a little spitfire when we get to hear her story. Donna has started a series that I know once you read the first few pages you will be hooked just like I was. Donna never fails to suck her readers into the story in the first few pages. Once you start to read this book you will not be able to put it down. Its a quick, enjoyable read that makes you want more. I'm looking forward to the next book.
