Rated: PG This is an exciting suspense filled book about the creation of Israel as a nation. The Thoenes offer well researched history with great story telling.

If you have ever read the book Gettysburg, this is up there with that but in some ways better. Powerful expression of the events in Isreal when it became a country. They could not write the next books in the series fast enough.

I am disappointed more people have not read this book. I saw the authors interviewed on TV and decided to buy it. It is a fiction based on the modern history of Jerusulem, and shows the struggle of the Jew's survival. It is a vivid and brutal story, and I COULD NOT put it down. I intedend on finding the companions to this book, and hope them to be as entrancing and this one.
