Just got mine 2 days ago. Very easy to set up. Nice and very light. Large HD screen is great for videos, TV and Netflix. Has more storage than the more expensive Samsung's for the price. All features work great, Bluetooth, USB File Transfer. I was skeptical at first since I prefer the Samsung brand but I am very impressed. I added 128GB SD card and should never run out of memory. Operationally it works fast and it is easy to access everything. I have not run into any problems or issues with it and would recommend it to anyone of my friends.

I picked up the NOOK 10 30 minutes after my local Barnes & Noble opened on November 13th and I have used extensively since then. The price point and capabilities of this tablet make it a phenomenal deal. if you are buying this as an e-reader for your Nook, Kindle, and other ebook and comic/manga titles, you will NOT be disappointed. I do not want to break the rules, as they disallow the posting of URLs, but I have written an extensive 2000+ word review on screen dandy dot com, and I think anyone sitting on the fence would find the information useful, especially for those debating picking up the NOOK 10's rival, the Fire HD 10.

Chat confirmed ram is 2gb and android os version is 8.1; she stated they will find the cpu model number and add it to the specs section within 1 week.

I don't understand the people complaining about the quality of this tablet. I bought this on Black Friday along with the keyboard cover and docking station. I love this tablet. I also have the Nook Samsung Tab E which I will use for mainly for reading along with my Nook ereader. I don't think the quality of this tablet is cheap at all. It's very comparable to my Samsung. I've had Barnes & Noble devices ever since their first ereader came out and have never been disappointed. When I compared Amazon devices to the Barnes & Noble ones, Barnes & Noble always came out ahead in my opinion. Keep up the good work Barnes & Noble!

One week in and all is working great! Easy setup, no WiFi issues. I own several tablets, iPad included and for the price this is a great deal . The speakers and camera not the best but not a deal breaker for me. With headphones sound is better. Very lightweight and slim. I now have all the Nook Samsungs plus this one, no problems with any. Yes Amazon Kindles are nice but they block you from the Playstore. I also prefer to sponsor B&N as I would like to see them stick around. Enjoy going to stores.

For what I paid for this, I'm very happy with it. I'm not restricted to Amazon app store. It's running a far newer version of Android over Amazon. It's not super fast but it runs Netflix, Hulu etc perfectly fine. My only complaint is B&N case selection. None of them hold the tablet up in a reading position

I have had all of the Nooks, all the the Kindles and Ipads, I like tablets. I like to see what the new ones can do. I think this one is a great value for the money. It is speedy and I like the rubberized backing. It uses the Google operating system. It copied all of my information from my iPhone, seamlessly. My passwords, photos and such are all available. I love that it has Googleplay, which is a big disadvantage of Amazon Tablets. I recently had the new Fire 10 but it was slow and hacking it to put Googleplay on it did not work, though I had done that last year on a Fire 8. I haven't had it long, but when I put an SD card in it, it gave me the option of using it for "internal storage" so that is a great thing if I am understanding it correctly. I have heard that on Black Friday it will be even a bit cheaper.

I've had this tablet for a few days now and safety say after finally getting it setup the way i wanted, it works fantastic. I give it 5 stars for the price. POSTITIVES: PRICE: Really can't be beat if you want the google play store on a tablet, at 119 it was a bargain. DISPLAY: The display looks great its not as high as the ipad but at this larger size it looks every bit as good. CUSTOMIZATION: This tablet has the BN branding but you can install any launcher you want. I saw some reviewer wanted to remove the giant google search bar, which i did as well. I ended up deciding on the microsoft launcher removing the google search bar, but keeping all the barnes and nobles icons and widgets and just putting them on a separate page. I also customized the dock for my use but you could leave it with Nook icons. I liked that i didn't have to lose the nook widgets for reading and shopping unless i wanted to. SDCARD Slot: expandable 256gb+ as portable or system storage. DRAWBACKS: for games it can be a bit slower, but this should be expected. I ran hearthstone on it and it was very playable, some other card games ran even better that are similar to hearthstone. Its just not as fast as an ipad, but at less than half the price thats fine. I've ordered the keyboard and dock but haven't had a chance to use them yet.

Goodbye to AmAzon's Fire HD 10. I've had both the 8" and 10" versions of this tablet, and I can tell you it's not a "solid" reliable device in either size. My new Nook 10.1 outshines the Amazon products with full Google integration, a smooth overall user experience, storage expansion, and an HD display that pops. For those expressing issues with setup or use, why not take advantage of the in-store Nook support? I have an iPad as well, along with phones and other devices, and I've never had a completely flawless setup or user experience. That's just the nature of technology. We love it when it works, and when it doesn't, we tend to vent and rant. Use that energy to connect with the Nook team, and troubleshoot your issues. I've also purchased the keyboard and charging dock. Both have greatly enhanced my experience with the device. Consider once again the pricing value of this tablet, now with useful and functional accessories. This is simply a great value for a tablet useful not only for media consumption, email, etc. but now for productivity. As a business owner, I appreciate being able to easily handle emails on the go, connect with clients, and actually get work done.

My review is more about customer service at B&N than the table, its a Christmas gift for myself so its wrapped and under the tree. I went back and forth between this table and the Fire 10 hd, got my mom a fire for Christmas and made sure I had it registered and set up for her before I wrapped it. it was ok but I decided to go with the Nook for myself since I have had a few and loved them all. Ordered the nook and decided to check it out before I wrapped it, well it did not work, could not get it to charge or actually turn on. I chatted with someone online and they gave me the 800# to call. I spoke with a customer service rep and within 10 minutes I had 3 emails--one for the return label for the defective one, another showing me that I was getting a replacement and one showing it had been processed, Received another email telling me it was shipped, I had a brand new one the very next day. Seriously could not ask for better service-no questions asked and a new one in a days time. Oustanding customer service.

Just got my new 10.1 and I love it! Crisp color and I love that you can change the page color to make it easier on my eyes. Still learning and tweaking the apps. Set up was easy and it synced right away to my glow light 3. I did not need anything fancy and this fits me perfectly. I did not think it was cheaply made as some stated. In fact quite the opposite. Still waiting for the keyboard and the dock. Hope that comes in any day now! I did not go wrong in this purchase!!

So I have set up two of these, one for me, one for a family member, and neither gave me any trouble. Connecting the key board sometimes gives a slight delay before you can type in but now I am used to it it’s fine. Reading is great on this. Nice and comfy to hold. I am very happy.

I am very happy with this reader. I have to admit I have about every digital device there is, but this quickly became my favorite. It's lighter in weight and simple to use. The size is perfect, and with my poor eyesight, so much easier to read than most of my others. I purchased a cover and am also very happy with it. You can't beat the price either. Just an all-around great buy.

I purchased the NOOK 10.1 on 11/30 and it was worth the price. I have no real complaints about it as it is similar to the NOOK 7 that I have. I like that it has more memory. My only negative comment is that the WiFi connection is sometimes spotty even though it works fine on my other devices including my laptop. Setup was simple though I didn't sync my apps from my other devices b/c I wanted different apps on the 10.1. I haven't as yet gotten the keyboard case but plan to in the near future. I do wish they had a case that allowed you to view upright and in landscape instead of just the latter. Also, when using the onscreen keyboard the keys make no noise at all, nor does it make a sound when tapping on a widget to launch an app or when closing one out. This does occur on my 9.6 NOOK which I like as it lets me know tapping it worked. All in all I like the 10. 1 tablet.

I visited the local B&N store to see the new Nooks, planning to purchase the 7" model. It took less than 1 a minute to decide the 7" would not fit my needs and paid for the 10.1". There is a significant difference that can be appreciated when looking at both models side by side rather than by reading marketing material, The 10.1" Nook is fast, powerful and from what I've leaned, the device is manufactured by Barnes and Noble rather than Samsung!

The Nook Tablet 10.1 is a superb nook. What is particularly nice is the keyboard, which is easy to type on. I have owned and used the prior Nook - the Galaxy Tab S2 - and the 10.1 is superior. Surprisingly, what I like most about the Nook is the Webster's New World College Dictionary Fourth Edition app that I purchased. The New World College Dictionary is the complete dictionary as an app, and I have set the font size to large. I use the New World College Dictionary app all the time as the best dictionary I have ever owned. What is great is the large font size, which makes the dictionary easy to read. And the app has color-coded the dictionary entries, making the entries even easier to read. The Nook Tablet 10.1 competes very well with the Kindle. Also, having used the Nook a lot, I find that I still prefer reading paper versions of books to ebooks. Paper books are easier to navigate, easier to read since you are seeing reflected light, and easier to lend to others. Ebooks have the benefits of being usually cheaper than paper books, and some older titles are out of print and are only easily purchased in ebook format. To sum it up, the Nook Tablet 10.1 is excellent.

I have been frustrated by this Nook since the minute I received it and set it up. I have had several Nooks, from the very first model, to my previous one, the superb Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 for Nook. When that device started to get glitchy after several years' use, I shopped for another. This one seemed to be what B&N now considers its top of the line model. I will admit, I was somewhat skeptical considering its low price, but because I had been very satisfied with my previous Nooks, I took a chance on this one. I am extremely disappointed with this Nook. First, it has only ONE screen, which is very frustrating when one is accustomed to being able to swipe across as many screens as needed with other Android devices such as those made by Samsung. I like a clean desktop, and I value the capability of being able to configure and organize a tablet the way I need it to be. No such capability with this device. The device seems to run slowly compared to other Android devices I've used. Perhaps my biggest reservation: do not EVER let the power run down too much. Twice with this Nook, I foolishly allowed the power to drain excessively. With other Android devices, in my experience, when the power is low, all you need do is plug it in and in most cases, you are able to use the device immediately (unless the power is VERY low, in which case it might take up to half an hour or so to be able to use it). Not the case with this Nook. Both times, upon plugging it in, the Nook was essentially a "brick": it wouldn't function at all for HOURS - literally, several HOURS - except to run weird code across the screen, such that I thought the device was irreparably broken. Hours later, in both cases, the device started working again. Totally unacceptable. Not to mention, the B&N case I bought for it was a cheap, flimsy, ugly thing whose cover seemed to be made of cardboard, and the casing on the charging cord split soon after purchase (substandard, rigid plastic was used, such that one rarely finds any longer; most modern cords use a more flexible plastic or woven coating). All the items - Nook device, charging cord, and cover - seem cheaply made. The Nook itself is poorly built and designed. You get what you pay for, as they say. I am dismayed that B&N seems to have discontinued its partnership with Samsung. This new Nook is a big misstep. When I finally got fed up with it, I gave it to someone who is not as demanding as to quality as I am, bought myself a Samsung Galaxy Tab S3, and installed the Nook app. Now I again have a device that functions smoothly, is built well, and gives me the performance I need. Yes, it was a good deal more expensive, but, again, you get what you pay for. I would not recommend this Nook to anyone who had, and enjoyed, the previous top of the line B&N Nooks. Save yourself the aggravation and buy another tablet.

Has some issues. Every few minutes the tablet signed off and have to turn on again. Tried turning off sleep mode but the tablet continues to shut down. Too bad I really liked the size and screen resolution but impossible to read anything for more than a few minutes! Might be returning this unit!

This TABLET is AMAZING! I love it and I am so happy with its price and how easy it is to use. It really goes beyond what I even expected it to do. I’m also very happy with the keyboard. Thank you!!

B&N offers this full featured tablet at a very attractive price. While one can't expect an equivalent to the iPad at this price point, I think this tablet will meet many users' needs. As a NOOK reading device it does very well, so those interested in a larger format for reading should be quite happy with its performance in reading books and magazines. The text looks clean and crisp and the device is very light, making it easy to handle. As a full fledged tablet, the device offers an up to date Android operating system, with full access to the Google Play store and a standard array of Google apps already loaded. It also has a generous amount of built in memory for the price, as well as a port for adding a micro SD card. The tablet also has front and rear cameras, although these are low resolution devices. I've used the tablet for a few weeks now and have noticed some limitations. The WiFi connection has caused some issues. While it works okay in most of my house, there are places where my laptop and iphone connect well, but the NOOK device consistently drops the signal. Also, the processor seems slow compared to what you find in iPads or iPhones, so it takes longer for the screen to refresh and emails to update than you would be used to if you have used these, or equivalent, more expensive, devices. I would not use this device as my primary email or web surfing device, but as a reader with the convenience of accessing these and other tablet features, it is fine.

This tablet zooms for the price and the keyboard accessory works flawlessly. They really stepped it up with this one.

Others can give you the specifics. I bought mine earlier this week and I will use it a lot. However, it may be a little too big and too much functionality for me. My purpose is to read, buy books and to surf the web. This nook replaces a lost Samsung Tab A Nook which could easily slip into my bag. The Tab 10.1 seems to work great with video and apps.
