Aileen is a sports reporter she is trying to find the story to really push her out into the big leauges. She wants people to like her for her talent and not her looks and she believes that the Santa Fe Bobcats has just the story she needs to get her out of back ground and into the spotlight. Killian is the kicker for the Santa Fe Bobcats he stays out of the spotlight refuses to do interviews, stays away from the groupies and never gets close or hangs out with his team mates. Right away Aileen knows that Killian has to be her story. She wants to be the one to tell a story that no other reporter has ever been able to get. Although Killian is just a kicker he knows how to play the field and will do anything to get Aillian off his scent and onto some other story. I really liked this book, I finished it over night, because I just had to know what Killian was hiding and why he was hiding it. Aileen is definitely my comedy relief in this book, she is sooo funny I found myself busting out with laughter. Killian is down to earth all he wants to do is play football and keep his secrets hidden. Aileen is smart, cute and has a heart of gold in a business where a lot of people become devious to get a story. I liked how 2 people that were so alone found something about each other that made them want to be more or do more not only with themselves but with each other. Jeanette did a good job, the book had many layers. There was definitely the romance, comedy, and pain coming from different characters. This book showed that being in the spotlight can be hard when you don't have someone to share it with. Great book!

I absolutely LOVED the first book in the series and was excited for the next one. When LOVING HIM OFF THE FIELD came out, I was a little skeptical. I’d been reading a lot of books lately that haven’t been able to capture my interest and I was afraid that it might be the same with this one. I’m happy to report that this is not the case at all! Killian is the kicker for the Santa Fe Bobcats NFL team. He’s broody and severely private. He’s got some huge secrets he wants to keep that way so he isolates himself from everyone, including his teammates. He’s been burned before and can’t risk opening up to someone, despite his loneliness. Aileen is a freckle-faced 5-foot tall journalist stuck doing fluff pieces for an online news outlet trying to be taken seriously. While doing a report on the team’s groupies, she spots Killian and his adverse effect on everyone and smells a story there. When Aileen is tasked with bringing in a serious interview with the cranky kicker, she is totally on board; anything to establish herself as a serious journalist. When Killian denies her request for an interview, she starts hanging out after practice and games talking to fans and players while leaving him alone. He finds this both irritating and intriguing. Killian can’t seem to stop thinking about the saucy spitfire but he can’t afford his secret to get out either so he agrees to the interview, with some strict stipulations of course. Aileen agrees and somehow ends up striking a deal with Killian to interview him and also having him ask her questions in the process! As Killian and Aileen spend more time together, passions ignite…and when they kiss, Ooooooh Fire! Can Killian trust Aileen with his secrets or will the past rear its ugly head and ruin everything, including a chance at love? LOVING HIM OFF THE FIELD overlaps some of the timeline with the first book so we get some scenes with Trey and Cassie as well as spending time with a few other players on the team, Michael and Josiah and a scene with Cassie’s sisters! The book is part of a series but can easily be read as a standalone. This book blew me away! Killian and Aileen are amazing characters with realistic problems. Both have a wicked sense of humor, heavily laced with sarcasm that had me laughing every time they shared a scene. The plot was heartfelt and an absolute joy to read! You don’t need to be a sports fan to love this series, but you do need to allot some lengthy reading time because you won’t want to put this book down! I’m excited to find out which player takes the hot seat next! I was gifted an eBook copy from the publisher via Net Galley in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own.

LOVING HIM OFF THE FIELD was a cute story, filled with lika-able characters and a good story line. IMO it was missing that certain something. That WOW! factor. Killian's the quiet and reserved pro football player and Aileen is the reporter sent to scoop him. I liked Aileen and how up front she was with not only Killian but other's she could've "tricked" into getting ahead. I thought it was a cute idea the way they made her reporting a game.

I adored this book. Killian, as the quiet, behind the scenes, unappreciated (by and large) kicker for the Sante Fe Bobcats definitely spun my wheels. He had a reason for being so unobtrusive, and he was utterly devoted to his son. I just wish we could have known WHY he was so protective a little sooner. Until the big reveal, I was rolling my eyes at the extreme lengths he went to to stay out of the spotlight. Aileen - her choice at the end was a great one and I loved how while she wanted to make it big as a reporter, she wasn't necessarily impatient about it or totally cut-throat. Her way of getting closer to Killian to get the story was innovative and showed her patience with her career, despite feeling like she was letting her mom and dad down by not having hit it big yet. It was nice to see the previous couple show up and see how Aileen meshed with her, keeping her integrity intact along the way. Definitely enjoyed this and am looking forward to the next book soon. I don't typically read sport novels unless they're by particular authors whose writing I already know but when I sampled this book I couldn't turn it down. I am glad that I didn't pass on it because it turned out to be an absolutely fantastic book. There is a lot of heat but under the steam there is quite a lot of heart and depth to it. To top it off the author had more than one twist to keep her readers guessing. Loving Him Off The Field is a book I'd suggest everyone read because its a mix of hot and spicy and warm and fuzzy that I could not put down.

I really wanted to like this book but it felt disjointed in places and although I read a ton of books it didn't flow the way most books do... There were gaps in the storyline..  I liked the characters.. Killian was excellent and "Freckles" was a bit of a basket case but I really liked her too... The reason for keeping Charlie a secret was weak even when I knew  the reason for it... What parent hides a child for any reason??? I felt the ending was rushed so while I thought there could have been an excellent book between the covers I am sorry to say I didn't find it... Liked it but didn't love it...

I love a good sports romance and this one was fantastic! I loved Aileen! She is smart and funny and goes after what she wants. Aileen is a journalist who is doing sports fluff pieces. Killian is the Bobcats kicker. He's a loner and pretty much just keeps to himself. He's keeping a secret and doesn't want anyone to find out about it. He's not happy when the adorable, freckled reporter starts following him for an interview. I loved these two characters! The chemistry between them was hot, they had some really great banter, they were unique and I just really liked both of them. I love this series! The first book, with Cassie and Trey was so good and I was so happy they made appearances in this book as well. I really enjoyed this book and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a sweet and sexy romance or who loves a sports romance.
