As endearing as some may find these characters to be, this story annoys me. Reading all the, ¿Woof¿s¿ gets old after the first sitting, and the story is just too sappy for me. Also, I don¿t like Halloween books that show children trick-or-treating alone. I know this is nitpicking, but I don¿t want my child getting the idea that wandering the streets alone at night is a safe thing to do. There are so many wonderful Halloween books today, this isn't one of them.

With its simple text and fold out flap pages, these beginning picture books are a great fit for young toddlers that aren't readers yet, just like my daughter. She loves books, and we read to her all the time, but lengthier picture books are beyond her attention span. However, she is starting to be too old for the simpler board books. The Biscuit series fits nicely in between. The bright and colorful illustrations featuring the cuddly Biscuit are appealing, and the story is sweet and easy to read. This particular book focuses on Halloween, but only as the holiday applies to young children. Costumes, friends, and treats are the highlight, and Biscuit is the star. A cute story meant for the emerging reader.

I got this for my little boy. He loved it. He insists on reading every day until Halloween.

My daughter loves to have this book read to her almost every night! We are looking to get more books by Alyssa Capucilli for her this Christmas. They are easy to read and just the right length. I highly recommend this. She enjoys flipping open the flaps and I enjoy her excitement each time we read it.

My 2 year old daughter received this book as a Halloween gift. She loves lifting the flaps to find Bisquit and making the 'woof, woof' sounds. She 'knocks' on the door and pretends to be sleeping as Bisquit is on the last page.
