Dirty Shame

I am a HUGE Tess fan! But sadly this felt rushed. I fell in love with the Freefall series and the Barringer Brothers so I guess I have high expectations. Now, don't get me wrong, this is steamy...and these Bluefield guys are hotttt...but it was too easy. The end was rushed, the danger wasn't intense, and we had a lot of repetitive narrative. For the .99 I paid for it, I'm not upset. But I felt like Tess could have done a LOT more with this series, the potential was there. Worth the money and short time it took to read it, just wasn't my favorite.

Ending seemed rushed.

Tess Oliver:s story isn't Romeo and Juliet. In that blighted romance, the wealthy families were in a feud. Kellan was a Trog coalmner from the southside of the tracks. Rylan was the daughter of a major investor of the coalmine who lived lwith other Highlanders on the northside of the teacks. Their romance was cursed by the difference between poverty and wealth. Unless Rylan could stand on her own two feet, there was no chance that they would have a happy ending. Kellan worked in the mines. It is dangerous, dirty work where surviving a tunnel collapse was only one life threatening challenge. Black lung, and other health issues were there to steal your lufe away. He had no other career option, and only she could decde if she could live with that. There is explcit sex scenes., and some foul language. The story about the two lovers was strong. Tess Oluver took time to develop the characters to people you wanted to know about. I recommend the for ature, adult readers. l
