Author Heather Graham has a unique way of taking secondary characters from one story and making them lead characters in another story in a smooth transition. DEADLY FATE, the 19th installment in Graham’s Krewe of Hunters series, is a prime example. The heroine, Clara Avery, was a secondary character in Graham’s previous installment, HAUNTED DESTINY. Luke Daniels once again does a superb job giving voice to the Krewe of Hunters characters. His tempo and accents enhance this tantalizing mystery. His timing is spot on adding to the story’s suspense. Graham transports listeners/readers to Alaska and all it has to offer through her vivid descriptions. The frozen setting becomes a character in itself as it contributes to the uncertainty of the situation. Listeners/readers are drawn into the setting through its beauty, but are quickly reminded of its dangers. The story flows smoothly and makes several jests at realty television and viewers’ love/hate of the genre. With twists and turns, as well as a second surprise ending, the story holds you captive from beginning to end. While it’s always better to read/listen to a series in order, DEADLY FATE is a stand-alone tale. There is enough background reference to the previous story that new listeners/readers aren’t left in the dark. At the same time, returning fans have a chance to reunite with characters they are already familiar with. Graham blends mystery, suspense, paranormal, touches of humor, and a dash of romance to create a well-balanced, intriguing story. This is an entertaining tale you won’t be able to put down until the end. FTC Full Disclosure – A copy of this audio book was sent to me by the publisher in hopes I would review it. However, receiving the complimentary copy did not influence my review. The thoughts are completely my own and given honestly and freely.

A gloomy, lethal, and gory tale on the hunt for a mass murderer in the wild Alaskan primeval forests. I love Heather Graham's style to built the momentum until I am holding my breath, just anxiously waiting for the moment to explode, so wrapped up in the story, that you feel like you are right there, like in the ghost form, looking at the scene to unfold. This is a great new story for the Krewe of Hunters series. Yet another closed location, an island this time, and mostly the same cast as in the last book, and the danger and trouble they get is fast paced action, non-stop danger, swoon-worthy attraction. The lack of clues, the puzzle seems to be impossible to solve. How many killers, and who is involved keeps the agents on the go and the danger constantly intensifying. I absolutely enjoyed the suspense, the guessing game of possible culprits, and wondering of the next plot twist to come because you knew it was coming, as you can sense the danger creeping closer. The attraction between Thor and Clara was clear from the first moment they met, even though it wasn't that pleasant meeting. They are curious about each other, the pull to be together potent. They have bold passion in-between them, a fascination they are not shy to explore. But the desire is not the only driving force in-between them, they also are fond of each other, genuinely like each other, and enjoy their company, like they were meant to be together. I enjoyed the thrill of the tale, the affection, and ardor between Thor and Clara. The sinister, vile crimes and mystery of the fugitive all taking the story into a deep, dark waters, where survival is bleak. Yet another eerily entertaining and chillingly horrifying murder mystery from Heather Graham ~ Four Spoons with a teaspoon on the side

4 STARS Deadly Fate is the 19th Krewe of Hunters. Heather Graham is still keeping the stories fresh. This is full of gore, some of it is fake but some is real. A reality show is set up on Bear Island with a fake bloody scene to play a prank on some actors. But a real killer adds his own kill to it. The descriptions are hard to read and imagine. There are some twists that you might not expect and some that you might guess. There are some love scenes but if you want are easy to skim over. Clara Avery is a actress with some othAer actors that first appeared in Haunted Destiny. Finds a deadly mess. She is on a private island in Alaska. She is glad when she sees FBI Agent Jackson Crow. Clara finds it hard to accept that now she can see a ghost. I would freak out too. if a ghost popped up in my room. Thor Erikson is a FBI Agent from Alaska. He has a dream about a old case he worked years ago with Jackson Crow his old partner. So when he gets a weird murder and finds that Jackson Crow is coming to work a case with him he is not surprised. I like Heather Graham writing. The touch of ghosts are a fun part of the story. The setting for this book is Alaska in summer. I was given this ebook to read for free from Net
