I loved the way this book was written. The chatacters were believable and were easy to imagine. The ending seemed rushed and out of character for both people.

At first, the language took me a little while to get used to, but when I did, I couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Alyce wants to be with Thomas, but is betrothed to Geoffrey. The author brings about this world were knights were full of chivalry even when tossing someone against a stone wall ;)  Geoffrey is a the better knight (in my opinion). I couldn't wait for Alyce to realize her luck.  I want to see these two completely together and have their HEA.  When does the next book come out?

Betrothal By Jenna Jaxon Blurb: Lady Alyse de Courcy has fallen in love with Lord Braeton, a nobleman in King Edward III’s court and a man to whom she has barely spoken. Fate, however, has decreed her betrothal to his best friend, Sir Geoffrey Longford—a handsome and imposing knight, yet hardly the man she wants to wed. When Sir Geoffrey is bound in betrothal by his father, he could not have expected the beautiful stranger to win his heart the moment they meet. Nevertheless, the fascinating Lady Alyse has done exactly that, and his feelings for her only grow as he learns more of her gentle yet spirited nature. But Alyse’s infatuation with his friend casts doubt on whether she can ever return his regard and their wedding day is fast approaching…  Will he have time enough to win her love? Review: Arranged marriages were a part of the Middle Ages, but it didn’t stop young women from wishing for a love match. Lady Alyse has her heart set on a certain knight but her father has arranged a marriage with another.  Ms. Jaxon’s story draws you immediately into the time period. Her writing evokes the smells, sounds and feelings of the past. I felt like I was experiencing the story along with the characters.  Alyse is a witty woman who is feisty and loyal. She’s someone I would like to be friends with. Sir Geoffrey is a hot knight who has a jealous streak a mile wide. Even with that failing, he’d be the man I’d fall for. Something about the strong-minded, sexy knight that drew me in.  Betrothal is a serial novella which ends on a cliffhanger. Having gotten a sneak peek as the second installment, I have to share how excited I am to keep reading about Alyse. It seems like Alyse is in for some more challenges and I can’t wait to revisit her world. I highly recommend Betrothal and am looking forward to Ms. Jaxon’s next book, Betrayal.

Sweet Medieval romance! I just finished reading BETROTHAL by Jenna Jaxon, 1st book of her series Time enough to Love. This is the first book that I read by this author, who writes historicals romances. The story is very well written. Even if this medieval romance was different from the Scottish adventures that I am used to read, I really enjoyed it. This book tells the story of a maid who loves a man in secret but is betrothed to another man. It also describes the life of nobility at the court during a medieval period. Will she forget the man she wants or let herself be seduced and loved by her future husband, a noble knight. Will sparks flare between her two main characters Alyse and Sir Geoffrey Longford. If, you love medieval stories, then I recommend this book! I will definitely be reading more books by this author. I can only add that it end too soon, I would have loved to read a last chapter with Alyse and Geoffrey as a family
