This is an excellent pop-up book of Alice in Wonderland. There are details on every page so go through it slowly. You would think the falling deck of cards would be my favorite, but it was the pull up where Alice in falling into Wonderland. Make sure light is shining from the side and you'll see what I mean.

This is a wonderfully illustrated best pop-up book ever created. My 10 year old grand daughter loved receiving it as an Easter gift and spent hours reading and looking at all the pop-ups. It not only has the main pop-ups on each page but it also has secondary pop-ups on each page. The book is filled with so many of the most interesting pop-ups ever created. Well worth the money paid for this book. You will enjoy every page whether you are reading it to your child or your child is reading it to themself. And of course the story is a classic version of "Alice".

I opened this book at the store and my daughter, granddaughters (3),my mother, my sister in law, and my sister were standing around and we all oohh'ed and aahh'ed when we saw the pop up pages. I said I am buying this! (I bought it for my daughter to take charge of and it is for my grandchildren to oohh and aahh over again and again.

The illustrations and pop-up effects were excellent. The illustrations and pop-up effects are excellent ( young children would need adult supervision with the detailed movable art work ). The text is not as good as classic versions of Alice and Wonderland but adequate. This book is a beautiful work of art by this very talented artist. I highly recommend it.

I just bought this book for my granddaughter's birthday and I am sure she will as thrilled with it as I am. It will be a treasure for both of us.

I heard about this book and it's illustrator on the radio. I went straight out the next day to check it out. It is hands down the best pop-up book ever conceived of. I have long been a fan of Alice and her Adventures. Robert Sabuda has certainly given the metal images that come out in the story the grandeur and imagination that they deserve. This is a must have for fans of Alice in Wonderland, for artists, and for children and adults of all ages. When you see it in person you will NOT be disappointed!

You can't go wrong with Robert Sabuda and this edition of Alice in Wonderland is just spectacular. With every story he illustrates with his great paper engineering, Robert Sabuda seems to take his art to a new level. A real treasure!

Like all of Sabuda's pop-ups, this one is brilliantly constructed and I find something new every time I look at it. A prized book!

Sabuda's work is excellent. This is one of the best of his books.

This isn't an ordinary pop-up book. I would advise wearing a helmet before opening it.

Another wonderful creation from Robert Sabuda. The pop-ups are unbelievably fantastic and the original story remains intact, rather than reduced to a bare minimum. The style is true to the original book, rather than the Disney perversion. It truly is a work of art.

This story is famouse classical story. I read this when I was 6 years old. I remember so excited of this book. This is a fun, crazy story that unveils a bazarre world in which a little girl falls into. She goes on all sorts of adventures using familiar animals and objects, but for completely wrong purposes.

One of my favorite stories has been re-published as a pop-up book. Pop-up books have notoriously been very one-dimensional despite their ability to have the setting of the story to "pop-out". This edition is incrediably detailed and dare I say, "3-dimensional". The book is very interactive and entertaining for all ages. This book will not leave you disappointed. Vibrant colors, moving features, and mind-blowing, complex landscapes bring Wonderland back to life in a way that Charles Dodgson (Carroll Lewis) would never have imagined.

I wouldn't have this in my class for students to read because of how fragile the pop-ups are. I also don't think I would use this as a read aloud because I personally don't care for the tale of Alice and Wonderland all that much. As a result, I don't think I would do the book justice if I tried to read it to my class.

I personally love the story of Alice in Wonderland. This book was a lot of fun to just look at and flip through the pages. I think pop-up books in general are magical. They just add a lot to the reading with the 3D images and bring the story to life. It definitely is attractive to kids and makes it more fun for them to enjoy their reading. So I'm all for having pop-up books in school libraries, but I would warn the teachers and librarians of children only having to look at and focus on the images instead of reading the text. My suggestion would be asking the children to write down a summary of the text with what they thought about it and why.

Summary: It is about a girl named Alice who falls down a rabbit hole into a fantasy world, which is wonderland. There she meets a talking, coat wearing rabbit, a smoking caterpillar, a cat who can disappear, a mad hatter, and the evil Queen of Hearts.Personal Reflection: I loved that this book was a pop-up book; it made the book fun to flip through. I¿ve always enjoyed the story of Alice in Wonderland and being that it is a pop-up book it made looking at it that much more interesting.Classroom Extension: 1) Since this is a pop-up book I would definitely have students tell me something they remembered about the story. 2) Have students draw their favorite scene from the book.

Great pop-ups! But this ad copy is horrible: "text is faithful to Lewis Carroll's original story". What can that possibly mean? Either it's the complete original text or it is not. Stop hiding the ball! "Faithful" is too vague to mean anything. Barnes & Noble, you should clarify! It is my understanding that this is not the complete original text, but I have not done a comparison to see if it is merely excerpted, or is abridged, dumbed-down, and/or otherwise corrupted. Enjoy the pop-ups, read the original text-which is widely available in various inexpensive editions. Actually I recommend the complete Lewis Carroll anthology, which contains excellent nonsense poetry like the hunting of the snark and the Jabberwock, as well as through the looking glass and other works. What a mind!

Pop up books are always kid favorites, but this time it brought the story to life for this adult! I had never read the Alice in Wonderland book, this was the perfect opportunity to rediscover this classic with my kids. Our favorite page has to be the Tea Party Scene! There is no way to adequately describe the unique and imaginative variety of pop ups. I'm sure the story itself lends its nonsensical prose to the elaborate scenes displayed. You'll just have to see it to believe it! I had gone back to buy another for a gift and they were SOLD OUT! A first class pop up! It's so pretty to look at you'll find yourself reading it to them again and again!
